Star Wars: Empire at War -- Scource of the Outer Rim

The Empire sprawls about the Core Worlds, ready to stretch out and conquer. The Rebellion holds steadfast to Rim Worlds, preparing to gain allies in the mid rim in order to take Coruscant. The Zann Consortium spreads its corruption and swells with credits, steadily buying its way towards ultimate power.

But a new faction lies in wait… The Galactic Protectorate. Founded to wipe out crime and corruption, they find themselves caught between a Galactic Civil War – but they will not be easy prey. They are a force to be reckoned with.

Four people call to you.

The Emperor offers to make you a Grand Admiral.

Scourge of the Outer Rim (Mod) V.1 --- A Work in Progress


Note from the creator,

The first version will be very basic. Units will be added and some mechanics changed, but the map will stay the same for Version 1. If this gets as far as Version 2, then we’ll go farther. For now, this is the Introduction.

I have planned out this mod, but I have no idea how to actually make a mod. I will post this to the community website in the hopes that someone likes this idea in makes it. In the meantime, however, I will be trying to learn how to make a mod. If no one makes this, I will eventually do it, but it could be years.

It should be pretty easy to make though. It’s really a matter of compiling files together. There’s little missing.

In case any Model makers want to help with what’s missing, there’s a list at the bottom of what is needed. Thanks.

If anyone wants to make this mod, go for it. You don’t even have to tell me. I’d be glad to help if there’s anything to do.

Class: Interceptor
Description: Main fighter-superiority fighter. Fast and maneuverable, moderate damage, no shielding. On a par with the TIE Interceptor.

Description: Durable, well rounded fighter on a par with the X-Wing.

Description: Standard anti-fighter corvette. Famously used by the rebellion.

Bloodreaver – Admiral Absolute of the Protectorate, Bloodreaver is a strategic genius. He is a natural leader and a fierce fighter. His arsenal includes a deadly flame thrower, and a powerful thermal detonator. He wears blood red katarn armor and sports a blaster rifle. Able to remove corruption. Increases sight range 25% and Increases damage 50%.
His ship – The Absolution. A Venator-Class Star Destroyer with enhanced shields, weapons, and speed, it is a terror on the battlefield. Able to focus fire on a single target and divert power to shields.

Rohm Inomoe – This wandering Mandalorian is the perfect symbol of justice. He’s always there when you need him. He sports a jet pack and a personal cloaking device, and wears blue Mandalorian armor. He favors a rebel Carbine. Able to remove corruption.
His ship – The Illustrio, a Lambda-Class Imperial shuttle, heavy modified and able to keep up with legendary ships such as the Millennium Falcon. Can drop seismic charges.

MahYuun – Enchantingly beautiful, her skin is a vibrant Zeltron red. Quite possibly the deadliest woman you’ll ever meet, MahYuun is a fierce hand-to-hand combat specialist. She is able to sprint and has a personal cloaking device.
Her ship – The Bloodletter, an enhanced Corellian Corvette able to destroy countless starfighters. Can route power to engines and enable sensor jamming.

Commodore Tsuda – Tsuda is a pirate dreg turned Protectorate Commodore. Some claim he is related to Bloodreaver, others suggest he is related to Rohm – most are too afraid to ask him. He wears a black trench-coat with a matching tricorne, and sports a strong blaster pistol. Able to bribe enemies and sprint long distances.
His ship – The Icarus II. Built to replace his lost Interceptor frigate, his new Hammerhead-class cruiser is never a ship anyone wants to be in front of. Able to unleash a Full Salvo and divert power to shields.

Gamma-Zero – Gamma-Zero is an IG-100 Series MagnaGuard. A relic from the Clone wars, Bloodreaver found him and made him into an overly skilled killing machine. Able to sprint long distances and trigger an EMP.
His ship – The Gamma Protocol. A deadly Recusant-Class Destroyer, the Gamma Protocol is one of the most infamous ships in the outer rim, and its reputation ripples all the way inward to the Core Worlds. Has a powerful tractor beam and can divert power to weapons.

Asajj Ventress – Many years after her mysterious disappearance during the Clone Wars, Asajj Ventress returned to the galaxy, walking a path somewhere between light and dark. Some claim she is Bloodreaver’s love, others suggest she returned for vengeance. Regardless of the reason, she has taken up her sabers for the Protectorate. She uses Force Push and Mind Trick frequently.
Her ship – The Last Call II. A Ginivex-class Fanblade fighter. No starfighter is more agile, very few are faster, and none deadlier… so far. Able to become invincible for a short time, and strike for maximum damage.

Te’Chong – Vice Admiral Te’Chong of the Galactic Empire was appointed liason to the Protectorate. He turned out to be the best liason the Protectorate could have ever asked for, turning on the Empire without question when Bloodreaver gave the order. He is a formidable fleet commander. Boosts sight range by 25% and increases damage by 50%.
His ship – The Stormglory. A Victory II-Class Star Destroyer. Able to Lock-S-Foils to increase damage and divert power to weapons.

Captain Balmorra – Captain Balmorra is a respectable and maddeningly quiet man. He served with the Corporate Sector Authority before quitting to join the more exciting Protectorate. He is a personal friend of Bloodreaver’s, and a very skilled commander. Boots sight range 50%, increases damage 25%.
His ship – The Oedipus. A QuasarFire-Class Carrier. It carries an extra wing of Ginivex¬-class superiority fighters. Has a strong tractor beam and can divert power to shields.

Overseer Xaox – Overseer Xaox Barton has one of the highest IQs in the galaxy. A cold, calculating Ubese man, he is a close confidant of Bloodreaver’s, and trusted greatly. He is a man of few words, but much action. Can remove corruption, boosts sight range 75%, increases damage 10%, 35% cost reduction at current location.
His ship – The Overcast. A massive Lucrehulk-Class Droid Control Ship, it can launch countless wings of fighters, though it does have impressive firepower. Able to deploy a squadron at will.

2. Planetary Space Stations (Which recruit local space units) can only be built over the following planets: Corellia, Geonosis, Naboo,Vergesso Asteroids, Alderaan, Bestine, Fresia, Jabiim, Nal Hutta, Tatooine, Hypori, Kamino, Korriban, Mandalore, The Maw, Myrkr, Utapau.
3. Add Bloodstar Battleship as a Megaship to Zann Consortium.

Planets of the Galaxy

Note: This mod features a Recruitment System, where every planet has at least 1 unit to offer. Most planets will just have 1 infantry type. For instance, Human Militia (desert) is just a 4 squad group of human civilians (desert style, in the robes.). Land units are recruited from a Recruitment Center, and Space units are recruited from a Planetary Space Station.
Sympathies dictate which faction a planet is friendly towards (inhabitants will fight for the faction they sympathize with.). Affiliation dictates what faction, if any, controls the planet.

The Zann Consortium is a criminal syndicate. My allies in Black Sun have assured me that they are on a path of destruction with the Empire in their sights. This cannot be tolerated. Banish any attempts they make at corruption, and besiege their worlds until only ash is left.

The Protectorate was initially a project funded by the Empire to destroy the Consortium, but they have gone mad with power and seek to claim my throne. Bring Bloodreaver’s head to me.

Above all else, however, the Rebels are to be your primary concern. They seek to overthrow the Empire and destroy the stability which I have ensured. Do not allow this to happen.

Those under the dominion of the Empire are loyal. Recruit allies wherever you find them.

I give you full authority. You must be relentless. Do not hesitate -- show no mercy.

This is General Rahm Kota. Mon Motha has told me all about you. She says you’ve got quite a knack with strategy – good. You’ll need it. We’re facing some tough odds.

You’re being appointed Grand General of the Alliance. You have full freedom to do whatever you deem necessary. Mon Montha will brief you on what you’re up against.

Hello, General. I trust General Kota has updated you? Good. The Alliance currently faces an array of fearsome enemies.

The Zann Consortium is a vile, criminal organization and could be very dangerous to our organization if left unchecked.

The Protectorate is a noble organization with questionable goals. They claim they want to be allies, but I do not trust their leader, Bloodreaver. He does not show his face, and no one knows his identity. I refuse to cooperate with him until he reveals that information.

Ultimately, however, the Empire is our main enemy. The Emperor, and his second, Darth Vader, must be destroyed. Only then can we successfully defeat the vast Empire.

There are allies to be found in this galaxt, General. The Wookies of Kashyyyk will aid us if you can set up defenses on their world to shield them. If we could get them on our side, they would be invaluable.

The cloning facility on Kamino would also be a great boost to our cause. We should try to secure it.

And finally, we have many allies on Naboo. After the assassination of Queen Apailana, and the slaughter of the Gungan Elders, the Royal Security Force and the Grand Gungan Army have pledged themselves to our cause. We need only to reach them.

I know you’ve enjoyed you’re assignment out in the Unknown Regions, but I’m calling you back to the Known Galaxy. I need to… unleash you.

I have to be honest; you’re the best apprentice I’ve had so far. That’s why I’ve chosen you to lead this campaign. No longer will you be an Overseer. From now on, you are the supreme commander of Protectorate forces – you are Commander Absolute.

So listen up, Commander.

I’m sorry to say my negotiations with the Rebel Alliance have failed. Now, we have three enemies.

First, unfortunately, there is the Rebel Alliance. I would order you to avoid them, but I’m afraid confrontation is inevitable. Do what you must.

There is also the Empire. We might want to go after the leaders first. Watch the Empire crumble as civil war erupts. It’s up to you.

Then there is the Zann Consortium – the very kind of organization the Protectorate was founded to destroy! They are the most immediate threat… I want them gone – obliterated – as soon as possible.

There is one last thing.

There are allies all over the galaxy, all you need to do is recruit them. I suggest heading first to Mandalore. I am on very good terms with them. They will help us. Kamino and Naboo may prove useful as well.
