  PvM Update #5 - Mods

This News Item has been viewed 244 times!
Hello people of FF, I trust you've missed me because of the changed schedule.
I've wanted to show you guys the unit list for our mod, and now I finally get the chance. We've actually been making units for an incomplete list, and unset objectives, but we've concluded a final list for you guys. Screenshots are unavailible since some of the units have not yet undergone testing and some have not yet been completed. But without further ado here is the full unit list for the V1 release of PvM.

Mandalorians LAND

Mandalorian warriors
Poorly trained but very experienced. A loosely organized group of soldiers drafted by their Mandalore, will fight to the end for their growing nation. Cheap, effective militiamen for the Mandalorian cause.
Abilities:
Take Cover

Mandalorian scouts
A more powerful bastion of the Mandalorian army. The scout isn’t just a drafted militiaman, but a well trained and equipped soldier selected out of crackshot warriors. He is trained in scan and surveilance and has very excellent range, which is nice, considering his primary weapon is a sniper rifle.
Abilities:
Sprint
Switch Weapons: Blaster pistol/sniper rifle

Mandalorian commandos
An effective warrior, the Mandalorian commando is armed to the teeth with sensors and surveillance gear, giving him good range and immunity to weather effects. He is trained to hit and hit hard and equipped with heavy demolitions. He, however, is not a cheap package, and though a very capable unit, is one that must be supported and properly wielded to amount to more than he is worth.
Abilities:
Remote Detonator
Sticky bomb

Mandalorian flamethrower troopers
True heavy infantry. The Flamethrower trooper is a massive soldier, armed with a weatherproof HA suit and capable of withstanding massive punishment while delivering gifts of his own.
Abilities:
Use flamethrower

Basilisk War Droid
Fast, well armed, but dated. An atmospheric fighter legend. Though not cutting edge, provides excellent ground support.
Abilities:
Fire all weapons: Releases a massive laser salvo on any single target.

T5B artillery
Slow, short ranged, but immensely powerful. Can deliver deathly blows to all sorts of enemies, while very vulnerable to every enemy itself.

Canderous Assault tank
Big tank. Big gun. Shields. What more can you ask for?
Abilities:
Power to shields: after a period of time, the vehicles collects surplus power and reserves it, allowing it to eventually power a 20-sec of extra shielding, without deducting any power from it’s other systems.

Mandalorian Officer
A well trained warrior company, equiped with a skilled tactician, can mean victory or defeat. +50% sight bonus +20% combat firepower +10% speed bonus.
Abilities:
Take cover
Motivate troops (All soldiers get a 20% firepower bonus for 10 seconds)

Mandalorians SPACE

Starviper fighter
A good design, deriving from the old Basilisk war droids themselves. A light fighter, but you all know the basics about her.
Abilities:
Buzz droids

Gladiator Snubfighter
Now we get to look at some new hardware. Good armor, good shielding, weaponry, the looks, for a price that includes it’s maneuverability problems and a long series of drawbacks and strengths.
Abilities:
Power to engines

Firespray fighterbomber
The Mandalorians love their fighters. They’re normally the heart of Mandalorian activities and efficiency in space. But it‘s always nice to see a vehicle which can dogfight one second and proton torpedo the The “Accuser‘s“ shield generators the next. And while Beskar is good, Beskar and concussion missiles is better….
Abilities:
Concussion missiles salvo

Daavab51B light bomber
Excellent speed but light firepower and armor. Is an excelent tool, in the hands of a proper strategist. This bomber works well with fighters that can match it’s speed.
Abilities:
Power to engines

Crusader corvette
Stable corvette. Good fleet support, though it might not be able to catch up with some of it’s fighters.

Shatter Ion Frigate
A powerful contributor to the Mandalorians’ fleet systems. It’s rows of Ion cannons are perhaps it’s greatest contribution to whichever taskforce it belongs to. Though, without turbo lasers ion cannons are no good….
Abilities:
Ion burst: fires a projecile releasing a massive ion burst. Similar to the ion cannon, except doing area of effect damage.
Ion Salvo= focuses it’s power into it’s mighty ion cannons to release a shield-killing wall of ion fire.

Kyramud Frigate
A standard medium unit. It‘s design dates back to the days of the Mandalorian wars, but it has been reinvested with new technology and serves a different role in these wars. Packs some punch for a frigate, but will see little results without support.
Abilities:
Power to weapons

Jehavey’ir carrier
Another design dating back to the Mandalorian wars. Except now it’s back to serve a different role. The small Daavab bombers and Starviper fighters find much storage room in this relatively large carrier, much more than standard un-foldable/large fighters might. Making this an excellent escort carrier as well as starfighter-fighter for the Mandalorians.
Abilities:
Send more fighters into battle (5 additional squadrons, 5 original squadrons)

Keldabe battleship
Big ship. Big gun. Big gun variety. That how the Mandos do it!
Abilities:
Seismic charge cluster: Following in the footsteps of Boba and Jango Fett, when swarmed with enemy star fighters, this is the best and funnest way out.

Black Sun LAND

Black Sun soldier
Not scummy at all. The Black Sun has a professional army for the most part. It’s soldiers lead fine careers with good pay and relatively safe work. These are not the best soldiers, but as a standard force they’re as good.... and as bad as storm troopers.
Abilites:
Take cover

Black Sun merc
Much better trained, experienced and equipped then standard Black Sun forces. Mostly Falleen, these mercenaries are the Black Sun’s standard special forces, used mainly in fire support, commando assault and heavy demolitions. Armed with a light repeater rifle and Plex missile systems.
Abilities:
Take cover
Switch weapons (Plex and repeater)

Meele trooper
Not a common sight, but a kind one for Black Sun forces. The Talortai have aligned themselves with the Black Sun for unknown reasons and offer their very capable warriors for a substantial fee. They will fight and they will fight well.
Abilities:
Sprint
Stun

Trandoshan mercs
If the Falleen are the first in support of the Black Sun then the Trandoshans are second. They have integraded themselves so much into the Black Sun military that their mercenaries become common sight in Black Sun bases and camps. They are comparatively cheap because of their fighting for their beliefs as well as Black Sun bank accounts. Their arsenal is deadly if used properly, but they have their weaknesses.
Abilities:
Ion grenade: temporarily stuns infantry units and light vehicles as well as reducing any shielding in it’s area of effect.
Take cover

Swamp Speeder
Small, light, quick, anti-infantry, super vulnerable.
Abilities:
Power to engines
Self destruct

Artillery Platform
A rather large unit, but not slow in any way. Massive vehicle with massive firepower.

Skiff
Standard Black Sun vehicle, armed with a blaster faring equally against most targets. A very vulnerable vehicle, however, can only be properly used with support units and large numbers, should never be administered for blitz warfare.

Missile Skiff
A significant upgrade from the original skiff. This vehicle has upgraded repulsor, making it just as fast as the original skiff with additional armor and shield generators. It’s weapons have been bolstered to fire quicker and lets just say there’s more crew on board with some extra firepower….
Abilities:
Switch weapons: Plex rockets/skiff laser

Pod Walkers
An old Republic design, unexceptional unit, medium armor, medium firepower, medium mobility. A good standard vehicle, it’s efficiency is often heavily underestimated, but can only properly function with other Black Sun units.

Heavy Pod Walkers
The Republic had a heavy vehicle in mind when designing this, the Black Sun made that wish come true long past the Republic's day. More armor, a little less mobility but a whole lot more firepower than a Standard Pod walker.
Abilities:
Switch weapons: pulse laser/heavy blaster

Z-95 Flier
A quick, light fighter unit, vulnerable to anti-air batteries, other flying units and turbo lasers, but very very useful.

Kihrahx fighter
Still quick, but not light at all. This boy is more an air superiority fighter, it can blast enemies out of the sky and take a lot of punishment, semi-good against buildings, but not much efficiency against ground units.

Black Sun officer
A well trained and paid merc company, equiped with a skilled tactician, can mean victory or defeat. +50% sight bonus +20% combat firepower +10% speed bonus.
Abilities:
Take cover
Motivate troops (All soldiers get a 20% firepower bonus for 10 seconds)

Black Sun SPACE
Z-95 flier
A very light and vulnerable unit, can take on bombers but not much else.

Ixiyen Bomber
A swift and heavy bomber. It’s designed to deliver a massive payload quickly, but when it can’t get away it’s blasted into bits quickly and makes a big boom because of how much heavy equipment it stores.
Abilities:
Ion bombs

Kihrahx Fighter
Similar to it’s ground fighting counterpart, the Kihrahx is designed to counter fighters, and mainly fighters, though it’s capable of combating bombers that is not it’s intent, nor is facing blockade runners and corvettes.

V-Wing Fighter
The V-wing fighter… Ah, I remember the good old days, but this time around they won’t be facing droid pilots.

IPV
A simple, vulnerable corvette, not good at much but if properly used can do little damage, though it’s main use is stopping fighters and bombers, it’s much better and much more often used as cannon fodder.
Abilities:
Power to weapons
Lure fighters

Pirate Frigate
The most standard unit the Black Sun can offer. Simple but weak unless jointly used with other Black Sun units. Good fleet support and good fleet filler but not an exceptional unit.

Upgraded Pirate Frigate
When you have enough fleet filler, and need heavy duty fleet filler, this is the right unit. This ship does and takes some damage because of it’s extensive upgrading from the original ship. It can work alone, but this is not preferred. Can be extremely deadly to those who underestimate it.
Abilities:
Power to shields

Marauder-Mass Driver
Derives from the old Rebellion space artillery, but apart from similar design, they have nothing else is common. This is a small, lightly shielded, weakly armored, but very powerful close range ship. 2 of these can compete with a victory star destroyer if they can get in range.
Abilities: power to weapons.

Bloodstar Missile Frigate
Now this is the pride of the Black Sun fleet. It’s heaviest ship, packing massive punch at massive range with an array of turbo lasers, torpedo launchers and concussion missiles. It can wipe out frigates, though vulnerable to combined firepower, due to it’s streatchy shield system.

Vetenator fleet carrier
The old republic cruiser was intended to be a heavy unit. The Black Sun quickly realized it can not compete with other Star destroyers, so they cut some of it’s turbo lasers, made bigger hangars and put them at the back of the fleet.
Abilities:
Send more fighters into battle
Power to shields

Well, I think thats just about it. Again we do like to keep our secrets so we will not be showing any of the recruitable units we've agreed on. All I'll say is that there will be over 30 of them and that they will range from battle droids to wookies and customizable weapons loadout ships.
Anyway times up, I'll see you all in a month.

#1 - No Way!!! - Posted by: MTGraves (Member) on 01-26-2010 at 19:26
I say no, cuz if they did they would probably screw it all up. Episodes 1,2, & 3 were very disappointing to many. True fans didn't mind so much. Instead the should move on with the last trilogy. There's something that should be in this poll, when in the time line should episodes 7,8, & 9 should take place. Yah...

#2 - Posted by: Algolinurca (Member) on 01-26-2010 at 21:09
I think that they could run with gross storylines from the EU novels, like Han & Leia gettin it on and spawning. They could work in to the next generation, probably using the old actors/actresses like Hamil, Ford, and Puke! Fisher (she could play Jabba jr.) They could work a whole trilogy out of the Vong, maybe 3 more out of the sith return.

As far as fresh redo, doubt they could pull it off as well as XI did.

 #3 - Posted by: The_Farseer (Member) on 01-26-2010 at 22:45
This was already attempted with Episodes I-III and that was a phail of epic proportions. No thanks. I'll stick to my original 1970's releases on DVD.

 #4 - Posted by: Med8r (Member) on 01-27-2010 at 10:25
No way. While I personally didn't think the prequels were as bad as some seem to think (cheesy romance aside), I can only imagine how much worse a redo of the trilogy would be. Farseer's right. The prequels were (among other things) a test to see if the public would approve of this kind of thing, and the answer was clear. None of the prequels did as well in the box office as any of those in the trilogy.

Besides, what's to redo, aside from some '70s computer animation, maybe? There's absolutely nothing wrong or begging improvement about the original trilogy. After 30 years, they're still some of the best and most successful sci-fi movies of all time, and Lucasfilm would be foolish to even dream about redoing them.

Basically, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. wink If three movies made in the late-'70s early-'80s are still more popular and well-known than many of Hollywood's newest releases 30 years later, well, that says it all.

 #5 - Posted by: skywalker421beta (Member) on 01-27-2010 at 13:30
i seem to be one of the only true star wars fans here, i think the prequels where great my bros favrite episode is episode i, anyways if they rebooted star wars i would probably hang myself in the closet. Cry

#6 - Posted by: DarthDeath (Member) on 01-27-2010 at 18:17
Yes, episodes 4,5, and 6 where the best, because they where new and no one knew what would happen next, George Lucas had a clean slate to work with. he was able to do what he wanted and anyway he wanted. but with the prequels we all knew anakin would become Vader, Palpatine was evil, and Luke and Leia would be born. so on and so forth.

#7 - Posted by: ATBolten (Member) on 01-28-2010 at 10:42
I think a new trilogy would be cool, but only if it were better than the prequels. I personally dont think the prequels are that bad, but for a new trilogy to have success it had to be better than them. I think it would be very cool if a new trilogy was exclusively CGI animated, similar to Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children.

Don't back seat moderate please.

#9 - Posted by: InvisibleHand (Member) on 01-28-2010 at 13:36
I second the above post.

Ontopic:

Apparently I'm one of the very few people that seem to prefer the newer trilogy over the older. I'm just addicted to space battles, and that's why I loved Episode 1 and 3 so much. Return of the Jedi of course had a space battle, but I found it not so epic as Revenge of the Sith. But that's just my opinion.

 #10 - Posted by: skywalker421beta (Member) on 01-28-2010 at 15:24
finaly someone who likes the prequals your awsome invisable hand

#11 - Posted by: IrationalFear (Member) on 01-28-2010 at 19:08
I say make the Thrawn Trilogy, as that deserves an equally enjoyable film, and then a ten-hour NJO film.

 #12 - Posted by: The_Farseer (Member) on 01-28-2010 at 23:58
#19: Thrawn seems the next logical step as he's the next real 'bad-guy' that everyone can agree is awesome.

#17: The space battle in RotJ is not as epic as the ones in the new movies because it was made around 20 YEARS before the prequels and personal computers were just barely invented...let alone being used to enhance the special effects in films. That considered, the technical feats that were achieved in the original Star Wars are lightyears more impressive than the commonplace CGI used in today's movies. In my opinion, the models and puppets look better anyway. Their stiff movements give them a certain charm and character than is impossible to achieve with 3D. It's all just opinion though. I prefer a well written story with deep characters...something that the new movies lack significantly.

 #13 - Posted by: skywalker421beta (Member) on 01-29-2010 at 17:26
totaly agree #19 i would be pretty cool seeing thrawn as a live action character

 #14 - Posted by: Whir77 (Member) on 01-29-2010 at 18:52
for this to work they would have to go back in time and get the actors, which i dont think they should, and make a movie, the prequels and trilogy were good, except the romance and *gulp JAR JAR(Epic Fail).i THINK THEY SHULD MAKE ePILOGUE WITH THE OLD ACTORS.

 #15 - Posted by: IG_11 (Member) on 01-30-2010 at 21:03
I love the prequels, ecspecially the opening space battle in Episode III, and I would absolutely love to see more SW movies. It wouldn't even take much time, I mean, Zahn already has the basic scripts for 7, 8, and 9 already written. big grin But using the books would be restraining in terms of creativity and content, and I doubt it will ever come to be.

#16 - Posted by: RepublicAscendant (Member) on 01-30-2010 at 23:05
holy close lmao, STXI the way they did it, should stick to Star Trek, the SW Franchise might not need a reboot, or a dramastic one like STXI. Dont get me wrong i loved the movie lmao

 #17 - Posted by: 1upD (Member) on 01-31-2010 at 12:07
lol, when I voted it was at a perfect 50/50!

 #18 - #15 - Posted by: UwsarHatAnupuw (Staff) on 02-02-2010 at 11:40
It would impossible to make an epilogue with the old actors, most of them are well old, and have moved beyond the Star wars franchise hell I don't think they need to act anymore they got rich of off star wars. Mark Hamill, is well ugly looking and can't past for Luke Skywalker anymore. Carrie Frances Fisher isn't sexy anymore she's fat.. Harrison Ford is old as hell.

#19 - Posted by: MrIrksome (Member) on 02-02-2010 at 12:53
Star Wars does not need a Reboot! Why would they need one? If they did do one they would just destroy the original story like they did with Star Trek XI. Am I the only one who is bothered by that?
I Would however, love to see more movies come out. I hold no hopes for Episodes 7,8, & 9 ever coming out. George Lucas has said in interviews that he will not do them cause he doesn't want to be doing Star Wars movies till he is 80. But I can Imagine that once the TV show comes out, There would be all kinds of room for Spins offs and movies from that!

A kotor movie wouldn't be possible would it?

I am posting this news article simply to let the community know that Rise of the Mandalorians now has forums set up on the Revora network (thanks to Digz). They are fairly standard right now with a simple news section, bug report, discussion, and download/patch links areas. Before I get more involved with these forums however, I need people that actually go to them! So, for all those that want to talk about my mod or maybe contribute if they have the skills, here is the link:

Right then, update time I suppose, but first I would just like to point out that last Saturday (the 23rd) was CaW's second birthday, we've come a long way in those two years, and I'm working on something special for you all to mark the occasion, you should expect it within the next few weeks.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings and on with the update.
Unfortunately most of my work this week has been behind the scenes, small changes here and there. I have however managed to get the UNSC Station, the Covenant Destroyer and the UNSC Genesis destroyer UV Mapped at last, unfortunately these UV maps are invisible, and wouldn't interest you. So instead I have two renders to give to you, one is my attempts at remodelling the Assault Carrier once again, to remove some annoying mesh errors, this is still a WIP naturally, and it still needs skinning, but never mind that, the Covenant Assault Carrier:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/1.2.jpg

The second thing is just a random prop really, you probably won't even recognise it, I'll show you it anyway:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/installation_01.jpg

Psych, you really should know what that is, and if you don't, well then you should just leave... right now.

OH and I lied, there are three pictures, another prop for you to feast you eyes on, you may recognise this one too if you've been paying attention:

Of course the standard props will be changed when the CaW props are done!

I choose for a large shipyard (which you can partly see) in the R.E.A.C.H map, and what is a shipyard without ships?… the covies better prepare themselves!

And last but not least the first piece of music, which I am quite proud of big grinGaius – Unknown Territory.
If it is not shown below then it has not yet been authorized by the ModDB.

What can we expect next week?
I hope to begin with some new maps and give you guys an impression by that time, also currently I am writing the main theme for the UNSC.

Hope to see you guys next week!

Hello again everybody, Last week I didn’t know that Blam would post that update, so I wasn’t in. After most recent experiences, the updates were posted since December every two weeks, and I thought it would stay the same… But I was wrong… And I didn’t look on the date… There was a big huge 16/01/2010 and I didn’t see it…

Ok, back to topic. If you didn’t notice or know yet: Halo: Covenant at War is now having its second birthday. So I try to make it bigger (like every time). And of course a big “Congrats!” from me.
As we all know, people could get disappointed and depressed if their birthday is being ignored… So please also give Blam some “Congrats!”, ‘cause he’s been doing an awesome job for two years out there, and withstood so many dangers and menaces, as well as fighting relentlessly against the outnumbering infection and didn’t give up.
P.S.: Please don’t tell him that I told you to do so!

Ok, now really back to topic. It’s an update, so here comes the update. Of course less important things first, for greater effect on the last stuff… And you never read the last part, which is actually the most important thing here in my update part… Hehehe xD

New stuff, or in other words: What I forgot last time…
This thing here I actually already did it two weeks before, but forgot to post it. It’s a little planet map. Original Resolution 12000x6000px or so, but then scaled down to 8192x4096px because it was slightly blurry. Result was ok, but the targa file had 213MB! So I scaled it to… umm… DAMN IT! Forgot it… Ok, looking it up now… Ok, forgot where I put it… Ah, found it. Scaled it to 4096x2048px with 32MB file size. Still quite big, but there will be MIP maps, so don’t worry…

http://anhnhan.deviantart.com/art/New-Planet-Map-151342697

I'm not sure yet which planet it'll be, and I'm also not sure about the colors yet... But there will be some more deserts...

A new ship? Sorry, only changed…
Yeah, umm, I didn’t really made a new ship. It’s just… different now… Remember my Covie Corvette? I played around in new software I got… Ok, just the 30-days demo, but it’s something. It’s called ZBrush. Some of you may know it… The guys making the Believe campaign used it… Means I can be sure that it’s suited for high quality stuff… my first attempts:

http://anhnhan.deviantart.com/art/New-Covie-Frigate-151338940

Naturally it's a W.I.P. Colors will be changed… I Intend to give it a greyer tone… Only problem is only the export…

And does anyone know how to apply good UVs? My ones always have holes/are displaced

Now to the most important part of my update part
But first take a look at this screenshot: http://anhnhan.deviantart.com/art/Old-Website-Screenshot-151336062
Looks awful, right? So may I now present you the Website v2.5 (v1 was the old one in grey if you're wondering)! See here: http://anhnhan.deviantart.com/art/New-Website-Screenshot-151336156 or here:
http://hcaw.unitedstudios.co.uk/
Looks MUCH better now, doesn't it? At first I just wanted to do an admin interface for Blam, so he could put in the update by himself. But in the end it turned into a whole new CMS system. The problem is only that it doesn't has a name yet. Maybe name it CMS.MAD? Or AMS? for Apex Managing System?
Whoa! Again off-topic! Man, I'm good! Ok, he can integrate the updates into the website by himself now. And he now also can upload stuff, for example the background pictures or pictures for the units or whatever we need pics for. He also could make blog entries, but I think he won't, so I can do it... Ok, isn't really that much work now...
Beta testing for it began on Monday or so, and noticed that many, many bugs and glitches were there (forgot that it was unfinished...), so I had to spend another day on it wiping all of them out. Now the admin panel is bug-free, easy to use, user-friendly, n00b-friendly (just in case...) and of course secure. You don't want the website crash after each time we update it, right? Or somebody hacking it and deleting all our hard work. Am I right, soldier? Of course I am! http://anhnhan.deviantart.com/art/New-Admin-Interface-151336357
But the most important thing: I had to move everything to MySql. Xml was quite hard to manage, it’s only useful if you don’t plan to add anything anymore… This isn’t the case with the website… And also because PHP has bad Xml Handlers… or is it because I don’t know how to use it?
Also don't forget the other stuff I changed in the website other than the already known:

•Fixed Glitch were chat didn't show the message sent. Ok, it displayed it, but only after up to ten seconds...
•Made chat a bit higher. Same number of entries, but increased height of image, so buttons don't appear outside of chat area anymore
•Styled the website new. Looks much better now
•Made unit list scrollable and limited height
•Added some backgrounds for more variability
Maybe forgot some, not sure... And think that it was everything I can remember so far...

P.S.: You don't need to update your bookmarks, the linking system stayed the same

Question from the community
•"Will there be another demo?" - All efforts for nothing... Dude, we aren't releasing anymore demos until the initial release has come and gone.

•"Can we get access to your SVN?" - Sorry, dude. We don't use it. There are more n00b-friendly things out on the Internet, and more efficient...
•"any chance of maybe a CCS demo? or hell a small teaser involving both sides?" - Dude, seriously? No. Contain your impatience

Well I did say in the "Quick Update" the other day that I would be updating you on some new things that I had came across the other day. I would of course at this moment like to thank modeller KREEARGH for the permission to use these models in our mod.

Right to the update, I have managed to get my hands on the models for and Armistice Station, Cylon Array Station and Scorpian Shipyards. These models will play a main role in the mod as they will be part of background scenery when playing the mod.

Armistice Station

Description - The Armistice Station was built prior to the First Cylon war as a neutral place for both Cylon and Colonial to visit annually for diplomatic relations. The destruction of this station was the first salvo released by the Cylons before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

Cylon Array Station

Description - The Cylon Array Station is attacked during the Razor Spin Off. Admiral Cain launches an attack on the Station when it is discovered after jumping into the area. The station is primarily used for communication.

Scorpian Shipyards

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/14/13639/Scorpian_Shipyards.jpg

Description - Scorpian Shipyards were the main Drive Construction Yards for the Colonies. The main purpose of these shipyards where to build and repair Battlestars and Colonial Craft, the Shipyards where destroyed along with the holocaust on Scorpia in the Second Cylon War, prior to the attack on this armistice station.

This Concludes this Partial Update for the mod, and I will have some more stuff for you by the end of the weekend hopefully.

I was planning on showing everyone the reworked economy system... but apparently that won't happen for now. Instead, nearly all progress and work related to this mod will stop for me. My copy of FoC is not working, with the error "Original disc could not be found or authenticated" popping up now. It's been doing this for the past few days now. The game won't even start, which is strange, considering that it worked fine for over a year. This is pretty disappointing... I might have to end up buying a new copy of this game then. Whatever happens, all work is suspended for me from here until this gets fixed. Hopefully this will be soon. If you have an idea/solution for this, please let me know.

I think this is a test. How many vote 1 or how many vote 10 and so on. More people vote 1 then vote 5. smile So if you vote 10, you dont even know what you are voting for. Thus, there is no way to know.

8/10, honest opinio, but i already knew it wasfixed from last poll, and a couple dyas before that when i saw a potd rated like 27 times on battlefront's filefront.
now u guys r just showing off your bein able to vote by usin these polls lol XD stick out tongue

i voted a 5 because i like having choices and not having choices so it's win-??? solution. we will just wait and see.Pimp!

 #12 - Posted by: Med8r (Member) on 01-21-2010 at 13:42
After thinking about it for a minute, I put 10 (assuming 10 is the highest, as it usually is). While I wasn't depressed or even deeply sorry when the voting system "broke", I am happy it's fixed again. What's more, I don't have any complaints or disappointments over it working now (who would?), so 10 is the right answer, assuming since 10 is the highest number, it represents the highest level of happiness (no-brainer...).

 #13 - I voted 6 - Posted by: GrdAdmSenza (Member) on 01-22-2010 at 15:49
Since, while i'm happy it's fixed, it isnt a function necessary for the site to function, and quite frankly, it should have been fixed a long time ago.

NONONONONO

FoC Could have been SO much more, but Petro got lazy and added a few new features, and a suckish new "faction" that was way overpowered and wasn't balanced. And, as I have been through their code time and time again, Petro took numerous little shortcuts and cheats, instead of taking their time to make a quality expansion pack.

 #2 - Posted by: Archangel852 (Member) on 01-11-2010 at 15:54
I agree. They could have done SO much better by taking their time to create it and maybe even looking to keep it canon...

 #3 - Posted by: DarkHelmet43 (Member) on 01-11-2010 at 16:17
Me 2. Zann is the only one that can sabotage your bases, and the computer does it AS SOON AS THE GC BEGINS! No balance at all. heck some mods balance better. anyway would have been better if your get a deeper GC mode and skirmish mode like if your soldiers would tell you info.

#4 - Posted by: Airaviper (Member) on 01-11-2010 at 19:15
no. they should of made a clone wars expansion. but there are mods fotr that right.big grinbig grin

i woudnt say major but i like it smile

 #6 - It's OKAY - Posted by: GrdAdmSenza (Member) on 01-12-2010 at 10:36
Not great, certainly not a huge expansion, they didn't bother to improve the hideous stock models they used for most things, they could have pushed the engine much farther, as many mods have. The Consortium is overpowered, and they did put out a few patches to remedy this, but by now it doesnt really matter since almost nobody plays base EAW or FOC online anyway. Did anyone else notice the notifications (last time i checked) on the multiplayer main screen are in what appears to be Japanese? Basically Petro has totally abandoned the franchise. One thing I really think they should have added were new campaigns for the empire and rebels.

Plus they didnt even bother to make the Cons anywhere near canon-material. I mean they had them totally eclipse the Black Sun.... THE BLACK SUN! Which is just ABSURD, I mean, come on, they had the power to actually pose a threat to the empire and rebellion, and they get eclipsed by an organization that's thrown together in a matter of months? I think not.

 #7 - tough question... - Posted by: Med8r (Member) on 01-12-2010 at 14:32
I wouldn't quite say it was a major expansion, or that it added a huge amount of material. The ZC is, to be sure, is one of the more ...eccentric... ideas LA has made into reality, and if you play as them, the GC's a cinch. And yes, it's completely non-canon, and most of the ZC's characters are, well, dumb, to put it nicely.

All that said, I think FoC is most definately an improvement upon EaW, and I would encourage anyone who still plays plain EaW to buy it. I thought it was worth the money, as, canonocity aside, it adds some great stuff to the Empire and Rebellion, and also gives a challenging new faction to fight. The ZC is almost always more of a challenge to play against than the Empire and Rebels combined (especially if you absolutely CANNOT tolerate corruption, like me wink). Not to mention, most of the great mods being made now are for FoC.

Could Petro have gone further with FoC (and EaW) than they did? Sure. But does the fact that they didn't ruin the game or expansion? No way. I played FoC for about a year and a half before I even knew what modding was.

So, to sum it up, I'd say.... yeah, I consider FoC to be a more-or-less major improvement on EaW.

ooh, sorry for the double post there. Guess FF doesn't let you edit your posts...

#10 - Posted by: Nickious (Member) on 01-12-2010 at 16:59
I do like the fact they did add some new stuff though i really wish they had put a little but more creativitiy into the game rather than just copying and pasting what eaw had. Fortunately their is RaW and IA2 that will fix those problems quite nicely.

 #11 - Posted by: Corusca_Fire (Member) on 01-13-2010 at 12:50
It added some nice new toys, but it could have been more. The Zann Consortium is the most stupid idea ever. A fringe pirate group being able to challenge galactic powers? So stupid.

#12 - Yay! The Voting Bug was fixed after all! - Posted by: Tyler_Ziemba (Member) on 01-13-2010 at 13:44
But, since I voted, I guess I'm obliged to comment (which I would have done either way wink). I think that FoC is an improvement on EaW. Yes, it has its problems (like the annoying spin-around-in-circles-until-I'm-told-for-the-10,000th-time-to-attack-the-MC80-that's-shooting-at-me pathing error). Yes, the idea behind the ZC is lame, but hey, be glad that they didn't make some lame-@$$ group instead. And before you tell me that the ZC is a lame-@$$ group, just how then do you explain the frikin' cool toys that the ZC lets you play with?

#13 - Posted by: IrationalFear (Member) on 01-13-2010 at 17:41
In hindsight, FoC was only significant in that it allowed 3 factions at once (which can now be modded all the way up to 9). The new units in space for Imps and Rebs were already out in Conflicts in Space. User-created models are now surpassing that of Petroglyph and have been for some time. But hey, they didn't ruin anything.

#14 - Posted by: Chandler (Member) on 01-14-2010 at 23:09
Med8r is right: FoC is necessary for mods because it gives us a few more precious features to work with on what is a frustratingly limited engine.

 #15 - Posted by: Mandalorian_jedi1 (Member) on 01-15-2010 at 23:13
It could have been better done, also they needed to make a clone wars era EAW. I dont particularly like the ZC myself and am in the proccess of editing the master text file and units to change the ZC into a diferent faction, total pain in the butt. While looking through I've seen some stupid things and some good things, but more stupid than good. I've had to rebalance the game myself as well so it's not a snail race when it ought to be an all out fight.

#16 - Posted by: InvisibleHand (Member) on 01-17-2010 at 11:40
When I look at Forces of Corruption now, one of the problems I see is LAG. When you've corrupted the entire galaxy, it will be hard to even move forces from one planet to another. They should have considered that as well.

A bit offtopic: if there will be an EaW 2, I hope it will have major graphics improvements, both beatiful environments and models, and if possible no lag. Empire at War has more lag then Command and Conquer 3 both on highest graphics.

#17 - Posted by: papershow (Member) on 01-17-2010 at 17:13
i 100% agree with airaviper they should have made a clone wars expansion! that way anakin wouldnt have luke skywalkers voice and other annoying things

 #18 - Posted by: g_core18 (Member) on 01-17-2010 at 20:50
I wasn't great. They should have put the effort into a entirely new game.

#19 - Posted by: Darthnerd_ (Member) on 01-18-2010 at 17:03
my main beef was portraying the ZC as more powerful/far reaching than the Hutt cartel or Blac kSun. Which should have been playable.
Thank God for mods and Mod teams

I'll agree that they got lazy on FOC, but i like the ZC idea.

Here we are again, the end of the week, and yet another update from us here at Apex Studios.
To start us of, a quick shot of our CCS Battlecruiser, it's had a few changes made to it since last week, it's 'neck' has been thinned and it's hardpoints have been relocated, now bristling with pulse lasers you would not want to run into this ship with anything less than a fleet of 3 to 4 ships... or 2 marathon cruisers.

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/sweawfoc-20100117-003932.png

We have another in-game shot coming up, but first.

Be a Hero!
Our favourite game company, Bungie, has launched a campaign to help the earthquake victims of Haiti this week, for every thousand people that play Halo 3 or Halo 3 ODST Bungie will make a $100 donation to the Red Cross for Haiti relief efforts, up to a maximum of $77,000.
Here are the specifics:
1. Round up all of your friends and hop online with Halo 3 or ODST any time next from 00:01AM PST Wednesday, 1/20, through 23:59PM PST Thursday 1/21.

2. Edit your appearance settings so your character is wearing the RED HEART emblem.

a. Press START
b. Select “SETTINGS” / “APPEARANCE”
c. Select “EMBLEM”
d. Select “Hearts” ICON, “Circle” BACKGROUND
e. Back out to the APPEARANCES menu and select “COLORS”
f. Set “EMBLEM PRIMARY” to RED (or MAROON / BRICK / ROSE depending on which game you’re playing!)
g. Set “EMBLEM SECONDARY” to WHITE

3. Once your emblem is set, play! This can be a custom game or a matchmaking game, just make sure it’s played online, on Xbox LIVE, or they can’t track it.

I know I'll be on Halo 3 next week, will you?
Source: Bungie.net

On with the update, remember the UNSC Heavy Destroyer? Well it isn't a heavy destroyer anymore, to accommodate the new Genesis Destroyer model it has been re-purposed as a Light Destroyer, here it is, rigged, in-game, and ready to fight the Covenant:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/sweawfoc-20100112-222250.png

Unfortunately that's all I have to show you today, I know I promised you some more stations, but unfortunately I had some of my AS-level examinations last week, so progress was slowed on that front.
SO I'll just finish by reminding you to vote for us in the Top 100 Mods of 2009, see you next week.

Dear Community,

First of all I’d like to introduce myself before I start with my part of this update.
The name is Darth Gaius (Dgaius), Mapper of Apex Studios and just recently appointed to do the Covenant at War soundtrack.
As you might have noticed I was the first to join Covenant at War after Blamtroid started it up almost two years ago. As a mapper I was part of multiple modding groups of which none actually saw daylight. As soon as Blamtroid asked me to join his mod I agreed to map for him since I really liked the idea of CaW.

So Mr. “Darth” Gaius... You have been part of this mod for the whole two years and we never saw an update of any kind. Neither have we seen your work, what’s up with the sudden comeback?

Believe it or not and yes it’s very cliche, but the answer is a lack of time. And we all know the reason why.... yes it is.....school.
But eventually I was able to take a little time and tadaa! Here are the results!!

The first results are two maps I finally managed to finish after laying around for a whole year. The first map is my impression of Balaho, a snowy and Industrialised world.

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/Balho3.jpg

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/Balahooverview.jpg

Obviously the vanilla ground bases seen in the above images will be replaced with the CaW ones once they are finalized.

Next week: Reach Docks

The second result is the first track for the CaW soundtrack.
Hold on there, wasn’t that Gotoprime’s job?
Yes it was, but we're not entirely sure where he is... So I’ve been given the task of making the soundtrack now. Blamtroid will soon be uploading the first track of the soundtrack, either this week or next week.

That was my update for this week, I hope you enjoyed it and from now on I’ll try to update you guys frequently and with some more examples.

Darth Gaius out.

Hello community,

today we have the second part of the January update for you!
It is mainly about the Wraith again. Apart from that, we have a very special vidoe for you, which shows something, that many of you always wanted to have in the mod.^^

But first of all, let's start with the Wraith.

Initially we have the Wraith Heavy Transporter for you. It will carry the vehicle-equivalents of the Wraith. Furthermore it will drop them on the ground.
http://www.abload.de/browseGallery.php?gal=Goqbi3n6&img=wraith_heavytransportez3di.jpg

Credits: Model: Wolf V.2, Texture Source: Dave&DKealt, Texture: MerlinGalgotta

The next one is a logical addition to the Wraith fleet. The Destroyer. It's a medium-sized ship with a good weaponry and can beat a BC-304.

http://www.abload.de/browseGallery.php?gal=Goqbi3n6&img=wraith_destroyer_291u4.jpg
Credits: Model: Wolf V.2, Texture Source: Dave&DKealt, Texture: MerlinGalgotta

The last ship for today is a very special one. It is a bit smaller than a Hive, but its weaponry is also quite powerful. It can stand the system flag ships as good as the Asgard ships of the Tauri. Furthermore it carries a lot of fighters in its forward hangar bay.
http://www.abload.de/browseGallery.php?gal=Goqbi3n6&img=wraith_battlecruiser34rs.jpg
http://www.abload.de/browseGallery.php?gal=Goqbi3n6&img=wraith_battlecruiser_1e2cl.jpg

Credits: Idea/Concept: Howard Day, Model: Wolf V.2, Texture Source: Dave&DKealt, Texture: MerlinGalgotta

And with these ships, the Wraith fleet is again a bit bigger and I'm sure you have noticed, that there are still some missing.^^

And now to the very special video. I'm not going to tell you what it shows, just watch it and have fun!

That's it for today and please don't forget to vote for us, some days are still left.

I have got a great idea, but for this idea I need a modding team. I need somebody who can add spaceships to ground battles, somebody who can edit the map editor so that I can make bigger maps than the current max size. I will submit the prototype of this mod tomorrow so that you can see the mod idea. If you are interested in joining the mod team please comment on this news post.

Hey there, welcome to the first Apex Studios Weekly Update of 2010, and to be honest, it's quite awesome.
Five new things for you today... well... nine, if you include all the varients.
To begin with, think back to the 13th of November 2008, we showed you our model of the UNSC elephant, however, that model was covered in poly deformations and wasn't all that pleasing to the eye from behind. Needless to say it was taken apart, tweaked and finally we can present to you once more, the UNSC Elephant:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/1-7.jpg

It's in the process of being skinned, so next week we hope to show it to you ready to be put ingame.

Next up is a quick reworking of the CCS Battlecruiser, the front of our ccs was horrible, segmented and lumpy, so with some simple extruding and smoothing I fixed this problem:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/1-6.jpg

The CCS is already skinned, rigged and ingame aswell, as shown below:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/sweawfoc-20100104-015824.png

Number three on our list of awesome this week is a little work into the spacedomes, as I played vanilla EaW:FoC the other day I realised the star backgrounds were really poorly made and unrealistic, so I've started work on new ones, as shown in the image below, with our ingame prowler in the foreground:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/sweawfoc-20100103-184145.png

The fourth thing I have to show you isn't from the mod itself as such, rather a few improvements to our website, Anh Nhan has managed to integrate a Chat system in the top right corner of the screen and a new screenshot gallery under 'features', link: Hcaw.unitedstudios.co.uk

Finally, I have something some of you have been waiting for quite a while, the first real look at our Stations. This week I present the UNSC Station to you, next week you may see something more... how to put it... purple?
The UNSC Station:

Welcome back everybody, We haven’t posted an update since last year, so here we go! A big excuse first The last two(??) weeks were !#$§&?ß@ for me, I never slept until 3AM, and sometimes I don’t sleep at all, it’s my laptop’s fault, don’t worry. Notice: Due to these happenings I could talk some junk. Sorry

Mod of the Year Award
As you should have noted, we’re in the Top100 of the MOTY Awards. So vote for us! I only have to say four simple words. Just. Four. Simple. Words. WE. WILL. DO. IT. It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation… No, I’ll stop…

Why do I always forget that I’m bad at PR? Ah shucks, just vote for us. Click on the really bottom left entry (Star Wars Empire at War Forces Of Corruption), and then on the first entry that appears left side (where it says “Vote!”, but be sure that it’s THIS mod).

Mod of the Year Awards

Thanks for everything, guys and especially watchers! You made us to that what we’re today: One of the Best.

New Units
It seems like I’m back at modding after all that rendering and coding (added some awesome new features to the website wink) I now finally have managed to make a new unit again. I may now present to you the overworked UNSC Prowler. Right, not a new unit, but I didn’t like the old one for some reason… Ok, the model was messed up, too many inefficient polygons and some more mesh errors which were teasing me (couldn’t really refine the model further), so I made a completely new one from scratch. A bit more than like the frigate now (the UNSC Light Frigate was made to a prowler you know), and about the same poly amount, but this time no sucking mesh errors and a clean three-dimensional model.

As a prowler which had to be completely black after my opinion, I didn’t had to make any texture, which saved me LOADS of time, and rigging… But because Blam didn’t want something completely black (‘cause it would be quite hard to see), he made a texture for the prowler. See below.

Render:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/1-4.1.jpg

Render without texture:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/prowler-1.png

The old one for comparison:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/unsc_prowler.png

See the difference? As said, more detailed, but with the same amount of polys.

Ingame:

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10520/sweawfoc-20100103-184145.png

If you read this, you really read my whole part. Not many can do it without skipping some parts Some lines left, and you did it! Please tell me in the comments whether you left something out or not. Just a little survey, to improve readability of my update part. Thx!

Questions from the community
• “When does this mod come out?” – AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! WHERE’S THE ROPE?

I think that was it from the first update of the new decade

Regards,
Anh Nhan

Phoenix Rising: We have no weapons... you can't possibly!.... - Mods
  Posted by: Enceladus1 on 01-13-2010 @ 00:08 - Source: Phoenix Rising
This News Item has been viewed 3056 times!
One of the biggest challenges for the Skyhook campaign was to accurately depict Alderaan, as the obvious question of ‘How do you prevent a planet with no weapons from being immediately overrun by Imperial forces?’ was a bit of an obstacle to the development process.

Whatever answer arose had to fit within 3 major guidelines;
1. The solution must fit the Canon
2. Defending forces must be believable and portray a realism similar to other worlds
3. Alderaan must be sufficiently protected from major Imperial raids and still be balanced in the Mod for sensible campaigning

In the original campaign map, Alderaan was directly connected to the Imperial Fleet over Kashyyyk, giving a major challenge to point no 3. This was fairly easily fixed with the addition of buffer worlds between Alderaan and Kashyyyk, and to date Kattada has been added as a minor Rebel world, and there is the possibility of yet more neutral worlds being added, thereby delaying the contact between these two key locations.

Basic research provided good background material to expand point no 2. Alderaan is a popular trading loction, and would attract a sizeable independent trading fleet, which naturally would require at least a basic planetary defence force to keep order and ensure a flourishing trading economy. Furthermore, the planet is home to the Alderaan Royal Engineers, with a history of starship production dating back 30,000 years to the start of the Old Republic. While these shipwrights designed such craft as the Thranta-class War Cruiser and the Alderaanian War Frigate, the majority of these ships were scrapped when Alderaan demilitarised after the Clone Wars. Despite this political maneuver, Alderaan retained one of the best defensive forces in the Empire, but of what?

Demilitarised ships can only mean one thing – all lethal weaponry has been removed and replaced with ion cannon. While you can’t kill with an ion cannon, it forms the basis for a superb defence system. With no more Thranta’s we have assumed that the Royal Engineers have taken damaged Clone-Wars stock and refurbished/refitted with ion cannon armaments, giving a basic defense fleet of over 150 elite Delta-7 Aethersprite Interceptors; supported by half a dozen ion cannon armed DP-10 Gunships, whose warheads have been swapped out for plasma torpedoes instead of the standard concussion missile systems.

In addition, the Rebel Alliance has also secretly negotiated the purchase of merchant stocks from the bankrupt Gallofree Yards, including the perfect craft for a defensive fleet – the Gozanti Cruiser.

Non-lethal Gozanti Cruisers at work

http://www.eawpr.net/screenshots/screen_188.jpg

This heavily armed modified transport was originally designed to defend merchant vessels from piracy and part of the design specification required slow sublight speeds to make it useless for raids and therefore prevent it being used by the pirates themselves. In addition, its configuration often tricks pirates into believing it is a nice fat merchant, instead of an armed cruiser! Although the original armaments included multiple laser and quad laser cannons, conversion of these to ion cannon has not reduced its efficiency and this is a deadly opponent to all but the best starfighter pilots. If that was not enough, the standard proton torpedo system has been upgraded to take magna-pulse warheads.

Although highly effective against pirates and other small craft, the Gozanti cruisers are no match for heavier warships. To handle this threat, Alderaan maintains several dozen ARC-170 bombers, also sporting ion cannons and magna-pulse armaments, to swiftly immobilise any Star Destroyer captain foolish enough to threaten Alderaan’s peaceful existence. A quartet of converted Carrack Light Cruisers provide long range supporting turbo-ion fire.

Star Destroyer in trouble

http://www.eawpr.net/screenshots/screen_189.jpg

The covert presence of pro-Alliance and independent freighter pilots, some of which are very well armed, add a final sting in Alderaan’s tail, and these can easily cause heavy hull damage to any cruiser that has been immobilised with a magna-pulse strike.

Finally, with Bail Organa’s Tantive IV and Raymus Antilles’ Sundered Heart in orbit, and with the Royal Engineers providing superb construction yards in support, Alderaan can easily provide excellent intelligence gathering activities to Rebel Commanders, and with a little time, this defensive fleet could be augmented with traditional warships to provide the Alliance with a formidable strike force.

Stargate - Pegasus Chronicles: January Update (Part 1) - Mods

Hello community,

today we present the first part of the January update to you. There will be overall 2.
Why 2? Well, it's because we have again a lot to show and don't want to make a huge news again like the Christmas special.

This update is mainly about the Aschen. Some ships will be more or less known already, but this time you get the finished stuff! Apart from that we have a very special unit to show to you!
So, let's get it started...

At first we have a brand new unit for you. It is mainly designed for anit-fighter and anti-bomber purposes and will appear in large numbers. It is the Aschen BattleDrone! A fully automated vessel.

http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=aschen_battledrone_1d8qz.jpg
Credits: Model&Texture: Wolf V.2

As a drone and a fighter are sometimes not enough to counter a bomber attack, the Aschen use their own corvette class ship in their fleet. The model is more or less already known, but here is the finished version.

http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=aschen_corvette_11wp5.jpg

As an advanced race, the Aschen are capable of producing larger ships. To counter medium-sized ships, they use a cruiser class ship. This model is also already known, but here is the finished version.

http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=aschen_cruiser_19kau.jpg
Credits: Model&Texture: DukeaufDune

Futhermore, they need also a ship, with which they can retaliate attacks of very large ships. Therefore they use a battleship class ship. This model is also completely new.

Last but not least, here comes a nice overview over the complete Aschen fleet:
http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=aschen_fleet67rz.jpg

Ok, as a last part of the news, we have a very special ship for you. You know it already and it is even in the Final 1.1 already, but we have decided to revise it completely nad the result speaks for itself.
It is the Asuran Cruiser!

We hope you had fun with the first part of the News! Oh, and please don't forget to vote for us in the Mod-of-the-Year awards: http://www.moddb.com/events/2009-mod-of-the-year-awards/top100

Beta Testing, Positions, and Such (Legacy Minimod) - Mods

I'm now looking for beta-testers! In order to be one you must meet several requirements. And I don't need many testers so I might as well be somewhat picky. And other positions such as modeling*, skinning*, Lua Scripting, rigging*/converting from other formats*, and mapping are also open like always, though I haven't really advertised much. The requirements are as follows... there's only 5 of them.

(*means a position that would really be very useful to have)

-You must not distribute information, files, or copies of files from the mod in any way without my permission

-Modding experience in some way... either mapping, coding, skinning, modeling, rigging, Lua Scripting, etc...

-Willingness to actually look for bugs, not just becoming a tester so you can play it before anyone else

-Paying attention to not just the big things, but also the small things that could affect gameplay

-Responding within 2 days of receiving an e-mail or message, and giving some comment at least once a week

So that's really it. To make it more simple, you can either comment, message, or e-mail. Filling out this little form would help so I know where you are coming from.

My Name is __________
I would like to __________
Example of my experience/work __________
I can respond within about _ day(s) of a message or e-mail
(If you want) Additional comment __________

So if you would like to help, please tell me! It would be very appreciated by me and in the end the community.

Hello friendly populace. I’m back with more awesome content from PvM. Lets get to the updates, today, I’ll be showing you another planet. This time it’s Rhen Var. Rhen Var appeared in Battlefront, it’s a frozen planet with some Jedi ruins. There was a clone wars battle here and another one during the time of the Galactic civil war, it held a Rebel communications post which was annihilated by the Empire. In our ever progressing PvM story, this planet is used as a minor Pirate outpost and holds a Pirate listening post. The planet can field a major base but it’d position in the galaxy doesn’t make this a necessity.

I’m sorry for the late post and another ‘Planet oriented’ update. Be prepared for a real treat next weekend, in the meanwhile I hope you enjoy these pictures of the map.

All regards
