Tatooine Gauntlet (FOC) - File Description  


Description:
If you're some sort of purist and do everything in order, then you haven't seen the pictures for this map yet. Go do it.

Now that we're all on the same page, this map is every bit as beautiful and awesome as the pictures make it seem. There are plenty of indigenous species that are roaming the map. Each team starts out with troops and civilians around the city, from there it's a dash to secure the city. Each team has a base away from the city that begins spawning vehicles at the beginning of the level. Everything else takes place in the city. It's a bit confusing at first navigating the city and getting your units to go where you want them to without getting killed.

BTW, this is the author's first (uploaded) skirmish map. I want to see more from Cjr1843.

Readme File:
Tatooine Gauntlet is my first (uploaded) skirmish map, pitting Rebel and Imperial forces against each other.

The map is designed as a dry lake with an island in the center. The island has become a large city, including different types of residential and commercial buildings, a small spaceport and a large junkyard.

After years of being mostly isolated from the rest of the world, the island's inhabitants started to become violent towards each other. After Rebel and Imperial forces moved in, the city was divided in two. Violence increased, and small cantina brawls became gang fights.

As time went on and the planet was succumbed to war, the two opposing factions made bases on opposite sides of the urban gauntlet. Now it was only a matter of time before the beautiful desert city became a sandy eyesore…

Although both bases are positioned in different corners of the map outside of the island's walls, the city already has a few soldiers and citizens on both sides, ready to defend their half of the island. Take advantage of this and use your citizens to explore before things get hairy. And they will – fast. The map is made for guerilla warfare, but neither faction will trust the other to only use infantry..
