Puddlejumper -> bomber
X-303 -> corvette
captured Ha'tak -> corvette

Readme File:
If you read this,you have downloaded the Beta 2.33 of the Stargate Mod for Empire
at war. Have fun with it!

Installation:
Execute the installer,it's in german,but it should not be a problem to find your
way through it! Simply choose your Empire at War\Gamedata directory,when you are
asked to choose the installation directory. That's it!

To start the Beta,execute the playrommel3kstargatemod.bat lokated in the gamedata
-directory or the desktop icon!

when you make the real version maby insted of wraith as pirates maby put the lucian allience. or make a foc version with the Tau'ri Goa'uld maby Ori . or a eaw version with the atlantis team and wraith. That would RockRockPimp!

A good solid beta release but I do have one very serious concern. Has anyone from the mod team thought about the poly counts of some of these ships?? I mean these would be more ideal for a CGI based film than a mod for an RTS game. For example. After checking over the Deadalus (x304) I've found the poly count is around 58,365 (77,786 vertexes), and these models have no LOD's. Don't read this wrong though. This is not meant as a flame or to incite anything of sort. I mean even the likes of Star Trek Legacy (which these models would be very good for), might struggle and not everyone has a top spec pc available to them. Still gets a 9/10 from me though as making a complete TC can be quite difficult.

@oneill12: yeah,it's still beta,dakkara/takara,that will be fixed in the next versionwink!
Then,also the first groundunits like Jaffa,SG-Teams,Teltak,F-302(as a bomber) and so on will be implemented,so stay tuned^^
@dark lord me: there will be no FoC version,because the other races simply have too few untis to build a separate side. The lucian alliance will not replace the pirates,because they use the same ships as the Goa'uld,and that wouldn'
t be very varying. Changing the pirates to the Wraith is not realistic but the only possibility to implement them(as we think!).

I just also want to clear something up, this is not my stargate mod( Final Front: Iris Offensive), we will have a release soon.

As for this mod, good work but lower the poly count on the models, even with my high end computer i started lagging with about 10 units on the screen. Lower the poly count and make the textures do the fine detail work, it will look the same and allow for less lag. Just a friendly tip.

Still a great mod because im a huge Stargate fan.....

Believe me and the others around...your polycount is way to high.....you should fix this.....

All mod team experience that at least one time ( for example with EvileJedi units from HW2)....

We are now working on models with less polys. But i can't promise,that we will release a version with them,when we are not able to make them look as good as the current models.

I guess the self-exec file can help newbs but how about another version released as a RAR or ZIP format only? I hate making EXE installers work with my game (it's in non standard directory). Putting the mod manually in the MOD folder makes it soooo much easier to do.

Great mod i dont know why everyone says there game is lagging mine runs fine i just had an army of about maxed the cap limit with goa'uld Hatak(sp) ships and a few other goa'uld mother ships it was awsome 10/10 the only problem i seem to have though is the colour of the even horizon in the supergates are read and dont look anythin like the one in the screen i dunno if its just my version though but still great mod

That's an ATI shader problem. The watershader was programmed with a Nvidia card,and in some way Ati cards have a problem to show it correctly. We are trying to fix it,but it's very difficult,because the problem is somewhere in the ATI drivers.

That comes in the next version and look,it's still a beta,that is the reason,why some tooltips and texts are missing or wrong. It will be fixed!

And for all,of course you are allowed to use the models to make a version for yourself. You can even give your version then to your friends,so you can play in multiplayer.

But you are not allowed to upload your version of our mod on any side,so everybody can download it. And you should inhibit that your friends do that. If your version comes in circulation,it would not be very good for you;-) Understood? Good!

This is a very well thought out mod, but you should consider making two releases, one in German, one in English (as the majority of EaW players are English-German speaking).

I love the models, contrary to popular belief, they cause no lag. Poly's mean nothing in EaW, its the vertices, and they all have decent counts.

There are some credibility issues with the heroes though, expecially the Goa'uld. its obivous two are missing, but the capital ship you have for the Goa'uld was never shown on the show (as far as I know). The level 3 frigate for the Goa'uld was actually the largest ship in their fleet (the prongy one) also Anubis's mothership/flagship.

It would be great if you "hired" some projectile modellers so you dont have to keep using hypervelocity guns for Ori ships or Ion cannons/Torpedoes for the Drones.

Overall, considering it is a pre-release, I give this mod a 8/10, 1 point deducted for credibility to the show, 1 point for releasing it with a bad English interface.

This Is Very Nice. I Really Enjoy It and Cant Wait For The Rest To be Done. But A Few Things I Noticed (and Sorry If This Has Been posted Else Where). But When You Get The Ori Ship If You Look At It Bio and Descirption It Says It From The Pegaus Galxay. This Is Wrong, I Dont Know If You Been Told About It So Sorry. I followed the instructions exactly and nothing happened-it just went into standard EAW, It was'nt the problem that was mentioned in the readme as both the rommel thingy and the mods directory were both in the game data directory. This is one of many mods I have found here at filefront which do not work as intendedmadmadmad

Have you installed Patch 1.4 or better 1.5? You need one of these to run the mod. With a lower version,EaW doesn't detect the mod,even if you start with the batch file!

@Brewman:the tooltips aren't final,it wiil be fixed. The Aurora will get drones like the puddle jumpers,the Ori ship fires already a heavy beam from time to time,that's its' specail ability^^. I think we will not make the Wraith recruitable,it simply doesn't fit,if the Ta'uri or Goa'uld control the Wraith.

There will be no third team,every other faction beside the Ta'uri and the Goa'uld has simply not enough units. And we doesn't want to invent so many units.

That's already done^^! But not completed at 100%! And that will be the case in the next versions. There's a small chance that you will be able to build Wraith units,we think about a solution how to recruit them without throwing the universe into disarray;-)!

on the Ha'taks you might want to replace the proton torpedo launcher and concussion missile launcehr with other weapons cause Goa'uld dont use missiles and torpedos (with the exception of the alkesh bomber)

Yes,the Kull warriors will become a ground unit for the Goa'uld. The Replicators will be the third faction and the Wraith the Pirates. This won't change anymore,sorry! But perhaps you will be able to build the Wraith,if you conquer certain planets. That's not decided so far!

Need actual jaffa and sg team models aswell as building aswell as is it me or is the supergate ( merchant dock) blue/red flickering? is to me kudos on the mod 10/10 need wraith ( the wraith hive ships as a pirate interceptor seems a lil blarg as it only has 2 turbolaser batteries and 1 proton torpedo launcher.

The next version will have a lot of ground units,the Ta'uri will be nearly implemented completely. The Wraith ship isn't more than a dummy at the moment,the finished models(some more then just the Hive ship wink )will come ingame in a later version.
The thing with the supergate is simple,you have an ATI card and those are not able to show the watershader correctly. That's really annoying,but it has to do with the drivers,we try to fix it,but it's very difficult!

How do you get it to work? I installed it to the correct directory, I have patch 1.05 installed, my system is capble of running FoC, let alone EaW, andI have the shortcut in the GameData section. Whenever I press the shortcut, a dos window appears, as it should, and then the screen that looks a little like the EaW entrance screen, only it says Stargate: Empire at war, and then, about 3 seconds later, it goes back to the desktop, the disk drive stops whirring, and I'm back where I started. It does this every time. Can anyone help me?

@avenger: where did you installed the Mod? This version has to be installed into your Empire at War,and not in your FoC directory(as you speak of FoC). Otherwise,it should work and i can't say,why you come back to the desktop. It seems,that you did everything right! Is there a "ModsStargate" folder in your eawgamedata directory? If yes,it must be something on your PC,but the normal EaW is running frown . That's very curious!
@need2download: yes,the english setting will come at 100%. But we have to work on so many different things and this is not so important as the new models for example. And the Wraith will remain the pirates,the third faction are the Replicators.

Do you have installed Patch 1.4 or 1.5? They are needed! You have to install the Mod to your eawgamedata directory. After installation,simply look with your explorer into your eawgamedata directory. If there is a "mods" folder,in which there is a "stargate" folder,you did everything right.
It should look as follows,for example c:eawgamedatamodsstargate.
Now you have to start the mod with the playrommel2kstargatemod.bat,also located in the eawgamedata directory!

Next time,please write some more details,what exactly isn't working!

Estimated release of Beta 3: This friday(16.02)!!

They haven't finished the ground units. Just replaced the Icons and descriptions so far. Use autoresolve for the ground battles or it could crash the mod. That's been my experience anyways.

P.S. hey alex1442 i take it english isn't your first language? I'm not criticizing just wondering. German maybe?

and some of the space maps that this mod has r buggered like for instance P3x what ever. the bots dont work well they do after 30 min or 1 hr but it kinda sucks can this be fixed????

In the next version, will the wraith hive ships be harder to kill? In addition, you could use the wraith crusiers seen at the end of season one instead of the IPV patrol ship.
I also found a bug, when I try to use the deathstar, in battle or on the galactic map, the game sometimes freezes up. Will this be fixed in the next version?

Hi everybody. We wanted to release the Beta 3 last Friday,but we found a lot of bugs and we absolutely want those things to work. But i talked just to the mod leader and he told me,that he will release the Beta on this Friday(23.2). The shields on the Tauri ships seem weak to me. The x-303 can only take several hits and the BC-304's shields also dies very quickly. Maybe you should increase the shield strength and weaken the weapons or soemthing.

Unfortunately we couldn't fix all the faults in the Final 0.7 till now.I'm sure you want to play this now,so we will anyway release it sometime this evening on our homepage http://www.stargate-modding.de !
The 100% done Final 0.7 comes out on Sunday with an installer,bug free,a complete Readme and a faultless english version(on ModDB and Filefront too).
So,you can download it tonight,but please don't write angry posts about faults and bugs^^! Download it in any case on sunday again !

Install instructions:
Before installation please delete all old version of the mod,the best
is,to totally reinstall Empire at War with Patch 1.5(!!!) and then only
Final 0.7.
Playable are Galactic Conquest and Skirmish at the moment.
Install the mod with autoinstaller to your "Empire at War/Gamedata"
directory. Means,if it's installed correctly,you have a
"playrommel2kstargatemod.bat" in the "Gamedata" directory and a "mods"
folder in it,in which a "stargate" folder is. Simply play the mod by
executing the "playrommel2kstargatemod.bat"

Hm,that's our fault,the Replicators will only be playable as the third faction in the FoC version,which becomes(as i already said) the Addon to this Mod! We have to fix this!

I mean,we have to take out the possibility to play the Replicators(it won't anyway work,because there is simply no third faction in EaW),not(as you perhaps think),implement the Replicators.
Beta 2.33 works only with EaW,Beta 3.0 with FoC,and the latest version,Final 0.7 only works again with EaW(will become downloadable during the next days here at filefront,if you can't wait,see the links some posts above!)!

@bazzini:you misunderstood me. In Final 0.7 we have still only german voices,but we are collection the english ones,and till now,we have about 80 till 100,so i think in the next version there will be already english samples!

Another bug that I am constantly running into, is that sometimes the game freezes and I have to get out. This happens mainly on Galactic Conquest, but just now when I was invading an enemy base on a land skirmish, it did the same thing.

Ra, why would you want Ra he is DEAD and it does not matter if he held that title I say again he is dead.Also in the readme it says that the mod is mainly for skirmishes and should not play Galactic conquest.

Ra is not an option,there are enough "living"(ok,most are already dead^^) systemlords,and he just played a role in the movie. Yeah,Galactic Conquest is really buggy,this is a really early version of the mod,and only Skirmish works well!. I hope that the admins will activate the download of our new version soon. They have already everything they need since saturday.

Campaign [Gould fleet] doesn't work! I'm on the pirate leader level and when Ive disabled him theres a video but he doesnt stop he keeps on moving and then hes off the screen an I couldnt shoot him then it just froze up. Is this a bug, or did I do something wrong? It works perfectly on the original EaW.lease help me! But excellent mod.
