As we remember all too well, Even a legion of Imperial troops isn't enough for the might of the all powerful Ewok! That aside, this does come across as too powerful (and it is). Although it could find some use in a mod...

Readme File:
Imperial Legion v1.0

It's a simple mod that gives you a legion of stormtroopers.
To be exact ~172 stormtroopers in squads of 9 on land,
and a star destroyer as transport
(escorted by 3 acclamator and 2 victory destroyer).

In autoresolve nothing stands in its way (so if you against it
then try to destroy the star destroyer that containing the troopers
else you're doomed :))

Tips:
Space: Don't send anything before the fleet or the escort units wont be aviable.

Land: Attacking with them could slow down the game (they spawn in as one trooper
after it they spread out), else the transport take some time to spawn them in,
so be sure the landing zone is secure.

Installation:
Simply put the UNITS_LAND_EMPIRE_LEGION.xml file in the xml folder,
then add the line: <File>UNITS_LAND_EMPIRE_LEGION.xml</File>
in the GAMEOBJECTFILES.XML (if you don&apos;t have one just put the one from the zip).

Bugs: If the game cruses on start then delete some troopers from the file:

It reminds of what I did a few weeks ago in a personal. Except it was Field commanders with 8 squads of 5 troopers each.

you know... i wish this idea was incorporated into larger mods... like having higher pop counts and whole legions... sending in 1 hero and a squad of stormies just doesn't have the same feeling...

well capshades i didnt made any icon for the legion (and didnt made text tooltips) so i used the lander icon for them

I tried something like this but I only had 81 troopers. I intended for it to be like a hero unit (called it the "501st"wink as only one could exist at a time. I had a similar spawning problem like you've described, and ultimately I scrapped the idea because of imbalance and glitchiness. Hopefully you can work it out so that it works better.

Originaly i too named them as 501th (just played trought BF 2) but i found some 501th mod on the web and people would say: "It was MY idea!". If i place them in groundinfantry/companies, containers, then i can use 241 troopers (and dont know why it allows so many) but for the rebels it still only allows 169 trooper. I can only think the length of the name (Squad_501th, Squad_501th, Squad_501th, ... Squad_Imperial_Legion, Squad_Imperial_Legion, Squad_Imperial_Legion...) may cause it but im not sure.

The Acclamators were used as Assault ships, they should've been the ones transporting
