The Eclipse Superlaser:A horrifying weapon, the superlaser aboard the eclipse is percise enough to remove a rebel base from a planet surface, without destroying the whole planet,It will replace your bombing run during the groundbattle, use it to erradicate the rebellion from the surface.(can only beused with the eclipse in orbit)
Sovriegn SSD--destroys planets much like the DS
World Devestators-These horrors of the empire can fight in space and land! in space any unit that gets near thier underside will be destroyed, they also have the ability to "Eat" any unit in a small range, that will recharge about every 30 seconds, on ground the will also destroy anything in thier foward arc, in both space and land battle they will pump out TIE droids.
CIS
Orbital Bombardment--move a capital ship in orbit of a planet to use orbital bombardment during the ground battle(this is the CIS "bombing run")

Description:First of all i would just like to say this mod is completley un cannon, then I would like to thank all the individuals that this mod would not be possible without.
*Ex-lead modler:ArucarD-who converted well over 20 models for this mod, and skinned some of them.
*LeadSkinner:Schrodinger--who reskinned Count dooku, jango fett, anakin, young oni-wan, and jangos slave 1, also created several icons.
*Avenger:for letting me use his hexed DSII model,and for letting us use the mediator model and icons, with base coding.
Swfan56-- for letting me use the CIS icons avenger made and gave to him.
*Roskov--For reskinning the podwalker, pirate skiff, swamp speeder and CIS Shock trooper.
Blue Lobster--enlarged all the GC space maps, created the GC maps. a galaxy divided, and revenge of the CIS, also fixed all skirmish maps to play with the CIS.
Woodyman--provided detailed information on many EU ships.
Codeuser-for convertung the M-104
*Awof- for converting the m-104 to .3ds from .opt, and for making the eclipse model.
*Dark Empire SPG-for letting me use the eclipse before anyone else.

Installation
just place the audio, xml, art, and text files into you Empireatwar/gamedata/data folder
Optimal setting (if you dont use settings close to these certain thing will not appear right, it shouldnt cause much lag todo this, since up until the end of the mod, i hasd these settings on a 6 year old computer.)
Texture Detail needs to be on max
Geometry detail needs to be low, but not all the way --{-}------------ about there on the deometry detail bar.
To acess these level settings, go into your options/video/advanced on your pause menu while playing EAW
This is how you go about selecting the CIS, left click the team select box, when it opens, left click it agian and hold the button down, then use the mouse wheel to scroll down to the CIS, the harder way is to click the very bottom of the box, below where it says Empire.
Generally fixes many bugs and icon problems in V2.1

Fixed glitch on the Imperial Gunship that made it invincible.

took out the virago, i'm having to debug its entry so it works.
Vader is a stronger than before.
Super hypervelocity gun charges faster, and does a little more damage.
Barracks now spawn 3 squads of storm troopers, 2 squads of navy troopers, 2 scoutbikes, and 2 pod walkers.
New imperial space outpost.
Executor-class SSD-can only build 3
improved piets energy weapon.
can no build ground Tie bombers and fighters. 2 bombers per squadron can build 3 squadrons at a time.
New navy trooper ground unit, you can build it with a level 1 space station, is on the space tab.
space cap raised to 35
I think thats about it.
Rebel
Home one is slightly less powerful and has a smaller escort.
New Home two unit, used by obi-wan during space battles.
New Liberator unit used by Mon Mothma during space battles.
New Mon Calamari X-1 unit, you can only build 3.
Venetor is slightly improved.
pirate units are no longer available.
Obi-wan is stronger on the ground then before.
Barracks now spawn 3 squads of infantry, 3 squads of plex soldiers, and 2 pod walkers.
New rebel space outpost.
Heavy ion cannon is more powerfull.
New Y-wing buildible ground squad, 2 per squad, can build 3 squads at a time.
New X-wing buildible ground squad,3 per squad, can build 5 squads at a time.
New rebel comm. jammer, increases FOW for your enemy by 60%.
i think thats it.
General changes
Coruscant's income is 500, its pop. cap is 50
Alderran's income is 500, it's pop cap is 50
Known Bugs in V3
One some instances whn playing the GC map closing on coruscant the ai will take over in all tactical battles, which will confuse the game and normally will eventually result in an exception.
CIS technology level upgrades do not work yet, so always start on 5, or you will be stuck on the tech level you start on.
pilots on the swampspeeder and CIS plex soldoersstill have dreadlocks, i cant fix this so unless schrodinger gets back before its released it will have to stay like that.
Some of the new icons may be odly shaped, and some of the new sound FX may be a little choppy.
not all GC maps support the cis, all of them support the cis except 4, the lines are drawn, kuat shipyards, and two more.. there is also one GC map made just to played as the CIS, its called demo campaign.
Will use the empires hologram messages, dont know if there is a way around that or not.
Sometimes a Random exception will occur when you quit a GC map as the CIS, also will happen whwn you auto resolve ground battles when playing as the CIS.

A couple of notes. Some of the models look rather.... rushed. the tri-droid fighters are nothing more then a flat plane with texture. The munnificent has 4 wings (should have to), and looks warped. The recusants engines are completly warped aswell. Also, I have notcied that while playing as the CIS, you are accompanied by the Pirate AI, who likes to take command of your fighters in space, and everything in ground. Also making it imposible to land what you want, as it lands the max right away.
you did give the CIS there own voices though, points on that. |

The problem with the models, please listen very carefully, because you didnot read the README! Set you TEXTURE levels all the way up, turn the GEOMETRY levels a little below medium, or the models will not all show up right, IDK why but thats the way it is. There will be clones in V4, not the repbulic but clones.... |

Also, I read something about being able to play as the CIS. Well, when I click the area where you choose who to play as, I see the scroll down thing, BUT, everytime I click on it, the faction select closes, and goes back to the galactic conquest/skirmish map selection.
Help would be great. |

Speaking of the Sovereign and the Eclipse... I find the Sovereign to MUCH more powerful.
#1... Six VERY powerful Hypervelocity guns.
#2... More hardpoints than the Eclipse
#3... I had the Sovereign and the Eclipse in a battle with the Seps, and the Sep literally destroyed the Eclipse in seconds, while the Sovereign managed to destroy Grievous in about 10 seconds.
Oh, and I had Palpatine and the Eclipse in a battle together, and when i won and i went back to the Galactic map, Palps was gone. Thankfully, Anakin makes price costs go down as well. |

Dont take this is ME or US bashing you or your mod. You seem to be a intelligent coder but listen to me carefully. I mean I used to do this for a living so I think I kind of know what I am talking about. You need to SLOW down. Have you wondered why the large mods with many staff members are not turning out huge mods as fast as you? See there is the belief that quality should come before quanity. ALL of your models look rushed. The skins on some of the models are VERY ugly. The WD model is VERY poor. I actually downloaded this mod and played it. You have more bugs than a Vietnamese ***** house. I am not talking silly bugs like a text entry missing. I am talking MAJOR bugs. I think you know most of them. They seem to be getting repeated here. Why do you rush this? Your Orbital bombardment is nothing more than a hopped up bombing run. In fact, thats what it is... you just changed the height of the bombers. Again, why do you rush? Take your time. Work on smaller projects. I think you just have too much stuff here and your work suffers. Also, typos are ok, sometimes but start using some kind of spell check. Reading your paragraphs makes my eyes bleed. You have some great ideas, you just need to work on implementing them and not making them so helter skelter. Now, your maps.... oh my where do I begin. They are BAD. All flat.. NO terrain. In fact they are not thought out well at all. Its like you added them as a afterthought. I cannot believe that you actually find those acceptable. Again, you have great ideas.. you just took on a bit much. Just take this as constructive criticism. I'm not flaming you... so dont come at me like gang busters after this. |

Sonic0 From: (Weatherford) Joined: May 11th, 2006 Posts: 139 | z3r0x i did not make the maps, blue lobster did, please consult him with your crticism, my map editor will not work since i had to reinstall after patch 1.05, and now it messed up ny EAW so bad i cannot even get patch 1.04 to work, i have to say, i realy thought i fixed the icon bug in this release version, as that is the main bug, evidently i was wrong, it happens, i have a iconer on the Team now, there will be no icon problems next time, there are a few problems with the models, i do know this, as engines glows are missing, but thay are warlords models, and if we do not reduce thier poly coint, it causes huge lag, we do not have an*****nal of modelers like LoW, but we do the best be can, I am working on getting the actual capital ship to do the orbital bombardment, and have gotten most of it worked out, but it will always send 3 ships down, and it does not look ru=ight, i did it this way, because it looks better, and honestly after seeing the LoW bombardment recently, they look quite the same to me, but i know looks are decieving. I knew that some of the quality of V3 would diminish due to to much stuff, trust me, V4 and V5 will be much more umm, polishedm if you say, becuase wukk not have to work oit as many bugs, models, and i genereally know what i am doing alot better, but i am not angry with you, i thank you for your criticism, just bare in mind, for every 1 bug that left here, there where 10 more that i ironed out during beta testing, which i probably should have done longer, next time i will, V3 has taight me a few things. |

Yeah SOME of the maps are not as good as your maps from your huge mod.
yes some of the older maps that i did when I was first learning the editor need work but they are not all bad I don't have a big team to help me I'm just one person. give constuctive critiizism to help others not just ***** about stuff.

1. The lucre spaceship including its mobile unit, are red, all over, this is the same for the Providence. I dont know if others have this problem, if not, i will reinstall eaw
2. The droid starfighter and Tri-Fighter wings seem to blend into the background of space, so all i see is a floating wing or a small body without 1 wing. If this is a problem seen by others, please fix, if not, as said before, i will reinstall eaw. Also, there is a slight problem of the credits, increasing very slowly, and even more slowly when CIS, they still increase slowly when i have a mining facilty. |

The size of ships? needs to be badly sorted out, the fighters are the ones which need to be badly resized and the heros, but not the ships. For example, the tie interceptor, is way smaller than the tie fighter, most of the fighters are are to big when compared to a frigate, corvette etc. Just make them smaller can you. Thanks. BTW is there going to be a AGD v3.04 etc? that would be good so we dont have to wait a long time for improvements, like in v4, which i think will be a long time.
p.s. in skirmish, are there supposed to be no x wings? |

I was winning, and because of my ally, i failed. Also, the number of credits i recieve, even with a mine, is dramaticly slow, and even more slower when im the CIS, error among others? |

shaojedi Joined: April 29th, 2005 Posts: 4 | Sonic0, love your mods but I'd thought I'd point out some problems. Some of your new planets for GC don't work well. Space maps for Debrillion (or the other twin) have tweety bird sounds in some parts - very weird. THe land map has bugs. I had enemy rebel MPTLs _in_ the water - they could shoot at me, but I couldn't shoot at them. Also, reinforcement point area is way too small. The MC40 and Mandator cruisers were a little disappointing visually and performance wise. Mandator too big to move far out of hyperspace spot. MC40 way too accurate at shooting fighter craft. I would also say that the CIS corvette has too many hardpoints for its cost. Problems with Palpatine retinue: most of the time the icons for the Imp Guard are just Palpy's face. And if the retinue gets wiped out then Palpy is logged as dead for the battle even though he individually survives. Hope you fix these bugs and keep this a great mod. thx. |

The shock bodyguards have a mixed up alpha channel, there are no phase IIs like you said there would be, and no regular stormtroopers. Also, your commandbar got mixed up.
You also completely trashed the SW timeline.

6.You just copied the imperial dreadnought and renamed it to rebel dreadnaught.
And there are many more reasons you have alot of work to do |

Finally, wtf is up wit hthe CIS having only THREE HEROS? Jeez, I could have thought there were alot more. I guess the CIS is on a low budget. I thought it was easier to play with the smaller ships. Also it made for epic battles as by raising the pop cap I could fit more capital ships on the maps. Don't let this take away from the credit you deserve though as I am looking forward to V4. Just like the smaller ships is all.

I am having an issue with the Chiss Nssis-class Clawcraft in-game.
The wings are missing. There is just the cockpit in-game.
I checked the model with the .ALO viewer and the wings are there.
It seems as though there is only one texture file (CLAWCRAFT_EXPORT.DDS) for the Clawcraft. I might be mistaken about that, however. Should I have more texture files for it in my Textures folder?
Please help. Thanks a bunch. |

the files to their rightful place ex. the textures files go in the textures folder ect. ect.
remember the mod files go into the game files!!!!

Anyways, the rebel AI IS too hard, mainly because they build so many Mon Cal x1's. I attacked an X1 with a sovereign and titan cruiser, and i was beaten within seconds. FIX THE MON CALAMARI X1! MAKE IT SO THE REBELS ONLY MAKE 1 OF THOSE MONSTERS. Oh right, if you don't have time to make an actual model for it, use the Mon Remonda model, I belive it's an X1 class anyways seeming as it can take on Iron Fist (An Executor-class Super Star Destroyer) one on one and win. |

The mod would have been soooo much better if more time was taken with maps, textures, balancing, and spelling. Oh and the new planets just seem to look like spam, especialy the two by corellia. It's almost impossible to move fleets to that planet. This mod is great, but the way it was rushed just annoyed me. |

3. SSDs way too big
4. it doesnt have to be realisticly sized. SSDs can just be as big as Home One
in EAW Ehanced mod
5. CIS never had V-Wings
6. if your gonna have CIS why not republic or mandalorians
7. The Invisabe Hand is White
8. File is way to big. You Should 7zip it. that will reduce the size to between 20 megabytes and 70 megabytes
also if you need a modler i making a game and would be hapy to model something of star wars

After you can open EAW and you can't read the text in it, download the patch. open that and you'll get the "art" "texture" stuff. Copy that into the "DATA" folder of EAW and say yes to overwrite the original files. It should work. If your using a modpath, do the samething except go into the mod file and paste the AGV files in. then unzip the patch and paste it in and say yes 2 overwrite.

I'll just clear up #452's question: You download this.
You intall this.
You download the patch ( I posted the site somewhere up in this line).
You extract the patch.
You copy/cut the files in the patch.
You navig8 into the "c:/programfiles/lucasarts/empireatwar/blahblahblah" then you paste the files into the folder. That folder should have the same folders as the one your copying/cutting. Look around for them. There should be "Art, XML, Text," junk like that.
You paste it in.
You click YES when it asks if you want to overide files.
You start game through shortcut given beforehand.

I think my problem stems from the fact that I have SWEAW as part of a DVDROM game pack from LucasArts called 'Best of PC'. This version is 1.05... but the Art, Text, Audio, and XML file folders that you all mention in earlier strings about copying/pasting/replacing are not there. Instead, The stock data folder comes with audio, text, material sets, and environment sets folders along with about 15 .meg files. As a result of replacing the text and audio files and inserting the xml and art folders in the data folder, I am able to enter the game and the music works, I can see Venator class ships doing battle with ISDs and Mon Cals, and I can select CIS in skirmish mode. The problem is that when I enter skirmish mode as CIS there is no space station or fighters, options, etc. When I enter GC mode, 43 planets appear but they are all Imperial or Rebel controlled and I select CIS to start with. To top it all off, the interface and any and all buttons are displayed with characters that shouldn't be there aka Grievous, Dooku, troopers with chevrons, etc. instead of the proper text. So the short version is that it is kinda working and kinda not. I really really really would like to play this. Any ideas? Is there any possibility, that there could be an .exe file somewhere that could perform a MODPATH to my Gamedata/Mods folder instead of this cut and paste? I only ask because I was able to get the 'Ages of Star Wars' mod to work, but after very much trial and error this one still will not. Sorry for the length. |

anakin, the tech level thing, it is a bad bug in V3, and 3.1, easily fixed though, hit the "advanced" option before you start the galactic conquest level, and raise the tech level from 1, to 2, and everything will work right, or atleast it works fine for me |

Another idea would be mustafarians in galactic conquest if youve ever used them there really strong but they take forever to fire there blasters you should make elite mustafarians have there health all the way up.
You could make a Admiral Ackbar ground unit from the mon calamari unit just re-skin it white like what he wears in episode 6.
I personally think Rodians are a missing unit needed in the game there everywhere someone should make that unit
Actually why doesnt someone just make it so every planet has its own species like when you go to hut planets they also have Gammoreans. or if you go to kamino theres kaminoans and clones, you go to muunilist theres munns , if you go to you go to some place like mustafar or munilist or skako [techno union] there is a large droid fleet above it. geonosians have there fighters overhead in space along with the pinnance and utapuans have there P-38 starfighters and there own militia along with a small force of droids [pirate faction] that spawn up out of droid works or something
It wouldnt be that hard actually there are alot of those skins/models out and i could help out with some stuff i could also get some other people to help or donate skins and models for you wow this would be sweet huh well there goes like a half hour out of my life for you guys there you have it the life of xxProvidencexx

Anyways, i have many many many bugs in it. 1- the menu is all messed up it is a bunch of mixed textures. 2- there is absolutely no sound even when i have my speakers and EaW volume all the way up. 3- most of the units are invisible (how does that happen!!) 4- I cant tell what is what when i buy units because they are just scrambled textures put into 1 little section. 5- i cant play as CIS. 6- on most of the battles my game crashes. 7- There is probably many more problems (i cant quite remember and many of them are on this page)
I'll give you a 10/10 for the great mod idea but a 2/10 for it not working
Try making a V.3.2 and attempt to fix these bugs I'm sure that you guys can fix all those bugs.

in galaxy divided v3 the executor has one hardpoint that cant be destroyed and so battles are impossible to win against empire in galaxy conquest.
i know this because i have played v3 in multiplayer before in galaxy conquest, i was rebels and he was empire. I knew i was fighting a losing battle from the start but through tactics i managed to hold off the planets surrounding my production world of star defenders(mon calamari) and use the one tactic that the rebels had over the empire...
its the abilty to send a small ground force to an enemy planet without the impossible ground battle, luckily i found out that when designing the mod they accidentily made obi won kenobi almost invincible
my friend made me laugh, he destroyed one of his own planets (eclipse) in an effort to get obi won on the ground but i had just pulled hium up to orbit that second
In the end though defeat was inevitable, though i could take planets i could not take the space above them....i made my last stand on mon calamari as he destroyed the planet to take out the 'heavy ion cannons' (capable of actually destroying ships).
there was also the fact that if i attacked the sovereign it would appear off the map suddenly and fire at me from above!

Some of the Ships are really tough and you have to work pretty hard to hold it together against the CIS but the balance of play has not been lost in Space Battle and that's a good achievement.
Some of the galactic and info / building interface elements are a little substandard, but again ,I think your emphasis has been on refining the battles, so that's not a big negative, but still not as good as some of the other mods available. |

1. The Icons in the build menu are often of varying quality. Where Vanilla EAW icons in the build menu were all the same, yours have uneven borders, and varying contrast, brightness and colour ( color ).
If you need assistance in this area, I can help as I have enough expereince to generate a consistent look for all your icons in the build menu. ( Paint Shop Pro ).

The GC Map with added planets is very busy! I mean that some planets actually overlap, for example Tralus and Talus almost sit on top of each other.
This may be my problem, I am running a nVidia 6600GT Video Card and 1280pixel screen width.
Many planets actually almost sit on top of each other and I suspect it is the screen width versus screen height that is causing the problem.... but I am not sure, I willl investigate further.
Also, perhaps consider makring your GC Maps as "AGD - Map Name". Steiner does this and it is a good move, because then a player knows which maps are Vanilla and which are yours.

download this mod then open it with commpressed folders and go into the AGDv3 folder and copy and paste the folders already in there 2 ure:
'Empire at War/Gamedata/Data` folder and when something comes up saying if u want 2 overwrite the exisiting file just press yes 2 all (and make sure u backup the 'Empire at War/Gamedata/Data` folder before u do this). and just start up the game as normal.
2 install the patch, just copy and paste over the existing files in 'Empire at War/Gamedata/Data` folder then find the commandbar files in the art file in 'Empire at War/Gamedata/Data` folder and place them in:
'Empire at War/Gamedata/Data/Art/Textures` folder. then load up game as normal and enjoy. |

Some models, such as the tri-droids could use improvement while the CIS should have a lot more land droid units and i know there are models out there. Also I wish General Greivous could become a land hero which would be interesting. But all in all a good mod.

legacy_5902 From: (blackpool) Joined: March 10th, 2007 Posts: 197 | i don`t know which 1 u need help with (world devestator or mon calamari x-1) but if u wish 2 build the world devestor, u should be able 2 build it at tech 5 at any planet with a heavy vehicle factory and 4 x-1, u should be able 2 build it at tech 5 at mon calamari with a level 5 space station if u can`t do either, make sure uve downloaded the patch first (link in above posts) it should fix the bug and fix quite a lot of other probs other that that, there is nothing more i can do 2 help |

the world devestator can fire on other ships in space as well as using it`s special "eat". i know it apears as weaken enemy but it doesn`t do that: if an enemy ships in resionable range, use that special ability to destroy that ship or all the hardpoints in the reticle thingy that comes up. on land, it can`t shoot but that dosen`t mean it still can`t kick ass! on land it destroy`s anything that comes under its underside but it won`t be able to eat on land unfortunatly and also, the other ssds are:
Eclipse ssd
Vengeance SSD and
Sovriegn SSD (can blow planets up just like the death star, lol)

legacy_5902 From: (blackpool) Joined: March 10th, 2007 Posts: 197 | yes, u can still use them in space, but u have to produce them on the land and then send them up into space but they are not avalible in skirmish (unfortunatly) they can also deploy droid starfighters on both land and space and the cheaky thing is that at the moment, all anti-aircraft fire from AA guns miss the tie droids-but they don`t miss the devestator and in my opinion, AA are something the devesator is weak against, sure it can whipe them out but AA guns can do some damage to it before it can reach them. In space, the devestator can use ion and turbo lasser fire as well. |

1. Go to the mods file in the C rogram FilesLucasArtsStar Wars Empire at WarGameDataData folder, if u don`t have a mod folder, make 1
2. make a new file in there and call it AGD
3.then simply extract the XML, art, audio and text files into the AGD file in ure mod folder.
so at the mo, u should have:
Empire at War-->
GameData-->
Mods-->
AGD-->
Art
Audio
Text
XML
4. to install the patch, extract the xml and resources folders from the patch folder into your empireatwar/gamedata/data/mods/AGD folder. then take the commandbar files out of the art folder and place them in your empireatwar/gamedata/data/mods/AGD/art/textures folder
5. Now that you've set up the folders, you need to make the .bat file to tell EaW to run the mod. Make a new txt document and name it "A Galaxy Divided.bat"
Right click on it and select "Edit", then paste this code into it:
sweaw MODPATH=ModsAGD
i don`t know what 2 do after that but i will post it when i find out |

2. make new file in it and call it AGD
3.extract the AGD mod files XML, etc, so at the mo u should have:

4.install the patch
5.Make a new txt document and name it "A Galaxy Divided.bat"
6.paste this code into it:
sweaw MODPATH=ModsAGD
7. put everything into the AGD folder
8.copy the EAW shortcut icon
9. change what it needs to run in or something like that to "A Galaxy Divided.bat"
10.change the start in thing t c rogramfileslucasartsstarwarsempireatwargamedatadatamodsAGD

Man, I love those World Devastators. Though, it'd be nice to have them named instead of [missing]. I did have a little problem with the extremely overpowered capitol ships on both sides. They'd sometimes get stuck at the edge of the playing field.

Not only that, but don't even bother building bombers if you're playing rebels. Not a single torpedo will ever find it's target. This goes the same thing with TIE Bombers or V-Wings. Even against capitol ships that say they're poor against bombers, torpedoes will simply circle their target and never land.
I went up against Grevious a few minutes ago with a level 3 station, 27 Flights of Y-Wings, 45 X-Wings, 5 of those fighter carriers, 6 Corvettes, 4 Dreadnoughts, 2 Nebulon, and a couple other things. Oh yeah, and I upgraded the station support and even tossed Mon Mothma in the fight. This all happened within the first 10 minutes of starting a Galactic conquest. With all that... I died. Miserably! LOL
And EVERY SINGLE torpedo played ring around the capitol ship and never hit it. I was soooo maaad. lol And then every ship exploded on the screen from... missiles.
The mod is well thought out, but I think some wires got crossed or something. |

first off..."WinZip" is the basic extraction software used by Windows (included with most versions)
"WinRar" is a more advanced extraction software that you have to buy, however a trial can be acquired at the Winrar website (below)
OK so when you download the file, a window will open; this will either be a "folder" (for Winzip) or a smaller box (for winwar)
(if you don't already have winRAR, you can get it here: http://winrar.d0wnloadz.net/)
when this box pops up, make sure NO files are selected then press "Extract To" (just look for it, you can't miss it)
after a dialog box will pop-up with a default directory at the top (meaning the files would be put in your "temp" folder meaning they would be deleted automatically after. If you want to, choose a new directory such as
C:/documents And Settings/Your/Name/file_name
(in the above directory, the slashes are BACKSLASHES (they wouldn't show up here)
where "Your Name" is replaced with, well, YOUR NAME, and "File Name" is replaced with the FILE NAME
after that, take the different files and copy them into the different places they go...I'll be honest with you I am not 100% sure what goes where b/c I don't have this mod but that will at least get you started. |

drevil15 From: Joined: November 3rd, 2006 Posts: 10 | I used to compare this mod to conflict in space, bakc when that was at about v3, but now its nowhere near as good. There's so many bad things about it. It has lots of ships, I'll give it that, but it seems unfinished - the ai don't build the new ships in skirmish, not much, the power to shields doesn't give a nice blue shield around the ship, the icons for the ship are just borrowed off the nebulon frigate or other ships, and the CIS don't have upgradable bases or anything. Then to the ships, most of the empire and rebels powerful ships just rely on superlasers, without them they're terrible, they have proton beams which way overpower them and the game overall isn't very balanced. Some of the large ships are just enlarged varients of other ships with other additions like more powerful guns too. It needs a lot of work, and remember to take away the stupid huge laser shots because they look stupid and cheap. Overall, as an add-on to the game, it doesn't fit and you can tell it is a mod, and quite frankly, I hate it. |

#1. The Mandator Cruiser. I think due to scale issues I have yet been able to deploy this ship.
#2. SSD, I have noticed this in both the original game play and modded as well. I can direct the units to move and no matter what they will not. I think this is in relation to Collision with objects already in play. It is kinda a "hit and miss" as to when they will respond.
I have a little experience with changing the XML files so if someone can point to the right area I would need to mod I would greatly appreciate it! |

For some reason it wont let me download the patch. Anyways, I have discovered a game called warhammer 40k, its a strategy game that has several factions that you collect.(its basically starwars on steiroids) . They are better looking and have powerful tanks and naval forces. I have made a massive powerpoint on the subject. I included New units and updates on the basic game, more upgrades, and new terrain. Ive also put pictures and describe the factions. If your interested then respond on this page and ill see your response when I can. Australis Joined: June 11th, 2007 Posts: 17 | I am sorry but this mod just does not live up to my expectation. The new planet Utapau has a great space map but on the ground it is mediocre. Many units have not undergone enough modification. That's why the CIS feels like a hybrid bring Imperial, Rebel and Pirate sides together.
This problem deterioated because the new units look terrible. I appreciate that the CIS core ship has hanger entrance (attributing to Anakin's attack in EP1?) but that's all.
The mod brings back the CIS, in name only. If you like to play the real CIS fraction against the Galactic Republic, click out the top ten today where there is a FOC mod called "Clone Wars". It was much more polished. At least, it has battledriods, not soldiers like this. I wonder why this mod is still in the top ten... |

I don't think the creator realized that he (or she) could make it so you could play it from the mods folder, and not have to overwrite your game. To install, you must overwrite your main EAW game files. To do this you need to make sure EAW installed separately from FOC (for gold pack users.) If you want to uninstall it, you'll have to uninstall the entire game. If it still shows up after you have reinstalled EAW, then you'll have to manually delete the "Star Wars Empire At War" folder under ProgramFiles/LucasArts. |

This mod does not work and will lag and ruin your game, making you un-install, re-install and re-patch. The agalaxyatwar website is up for sale and will not work no matter what you try. Overall it is a terrible, terrible, terrible mod.

BUT, there are a lot of issues.
Firstly, CIS cannot build any structures further than research, L1 space station and a Mining facility.
Cannot research anything.
cannot build anything on any ground planet other than your home one (due to lack of structures)
Munificent class frigates are also hugely OP, 4 of them destroyed an entire republic fleet with at least 8 Venators.
Planet spacing is a little to close in some areas, making it hard to differentiate between them when dragging fleets (I accidently ended up sending units to the wrong planets a number of times). |

also, i cant find out how to use the CIS ships or even be CIS if you can. also, some CIS ships listed wont show up in galactic conquest if they should.

I also open it in Microsoft Office Word and it tells me what to look for. There was a lot that needed to be changed. I edited this file my self would you like me to upload it?

To use it copy one to your desktop right click on it and select edit from the list. it should open in notepad and look something like this "sweaw MODPATH=Mods(name of folder in mods folder). Put the name of the folder in where the ( ) are. Then put the bat in " C rogram Files (x86)LucasArtsStar Wars Empire at warGameData". Double click on it and it should play with the mod activated. Hope this helps.
